Chapter 8: Struck

Yayay!! Chapter 8 is here!!!

Aqua P.O.V.
Lia: Just stay away from me! You'll get hurt!
Me: No! I'm not afraid of you, Lia!
Lianna was getting harder and harder to convince. I almost had no more ideas to persuade her anymore. Then, an idea popped into my mind.

~Flashback~
Young 4 year old Aqua played alone and sadly in the backyard. Her mother Larissa came to her and asked what's wrong.
Aqua: Mama, does Lianna like me?
Larissa: Of course she does, dear. Why would you think that she wouldn't?
Aqua: Because she doesn't play with me anymore. I wish she would just come out of her room. Why does she have to stay in there anyway?
Larissa looked down thinking why Lia wanted to shut herself from her sister. Lia wanted to protect everyone even if it means not making contact with anyone. The only reason Aqua didn't remember her sister had powers was because when she got hit, she lost her memory of it. Their parents thought it would be best if Aqua didn't know about it.
Larissa: *sigh* I don't know dear. Sometimes, people just like being alone.
Aqua looked at the ground sadly.
Larissa: Aqua, don't feel bad okay? It's not your fault Lia shut herself in. You know what, I'll teach you a song you can sing to her to make her come out of her room!
Aqua: Really!!!!!!?
Larissa: Mhm! It goes like this:
~Flashback end~
I sighed hoping my idea would work. I thought of singing the song Mama taught me when I was younger. So I did.

I followed Lia up the stairs to try to convince her while I sang.

Aqua:
You don't have to protect me I'm not afraid
Please don't shut me out again,
Please don't slam the door
You don't have to keep your distance anymore

Lianna:
Aqua,
Please go back home, your life awaits

Aqua:

Lianna:
I know
You mean well, but leave me be
Yes, I'm alone, but I'm alone and free
Just stay away and you'll be safe from me

Aqua:
Actually we're not

Lianna:
What do you mean you're not?

Aqua:
I get the feeling you don't know

Lianna:
What do I not know?

Aqua:
Esramo's in deep, deep, deep, deep snow

Lianna:
What?

Aqua:
You've kind of set off an eternal winter... everywhere

Lianna:
Everywhere?

Aqua:
It's okay, you can just unfreeze it

Lianna:
No, I can't, I - I don't know how!

Lianna looked scared and was about to panic while I sang my verse.

Aqua:
Sure you can! I know you can!
'Cause for the first time in forever,
Lianna:
Oh I'm such a fool, I can't be free!

Aqua:
You don't have to be afraid
Lianna:
No escape from the storm inside of me!

Aqua:
We can work this out together
Lianna:
I can't control the curse!

Snow started to fall and circle around Lia and me. It was so thick that I could barely see her. But that didn't stop me from singing.

Aqua:
We'll reverse the storm you've made
Lianna:
Ohhhh, Aqua please, you'll only make it worse!

Aqua:
Don't panic
Lianna:
There's so much fear!

Aqua:
We'll make the sun shine bright
Lianna:
You're not safe here!

Aqua:
We can face this thing together
Lianna:
Oh!

Aqua:
We can change this winter weather
Lianna:
AHHHHH...

Aqua:
And everything will be alright...
Lianna:
I CAN'T!

Then, all the snow got sucked into Lia's body and she let them go as powerful streaks of ice. I tried to dodge them but one hit me right on my chest. It hurt so bad as I felt coldness rush to every part of my body.

Luffy P.O.V.
Since we were so tired of waiting for Aqua, we suspected that something bad happened to her. We went inside the castle and climbed the stairs to the top floor. We couldn't believe what we saw. It looked like a mini blizzard but with two people inside. We could barely see the people inside but when we saw a tint of blue hair, we knew Aqua was inside. We also heard faint voices but we couldn't clearly make out what they were saying.

Zoro: Oi captain! Aqua is in there! We have to go and get her out!
Luffy: No, hold on! She looks okay so just let her be.
Zoro held back but he looked grumpy. I don't know why but ever since Aqua joined he always seemed protective of her.
But that isn't important right now. We have to keep a close eye on Aqua because we never know when something could happen to her.

Zoro P.O.V.
Dammit! Aqua is inside that mini blizzard but I can't go get her! What happens if she gets hurt inside? I guess I'll just have to watch. This is so frustrating!

Then, we heard a yell come from the mini blizzard. It sounded more musical than a usual yell. All the snow somehow disappeared into Aqua's sister. Then, they came out from her as streaks of blue and Aqua was in the middle of it. I tried to push her out of the way, but she already got struck. Aqua just knelt to the floor clutching her chest.
Me: AQUA!
The crew and I helped Aqua get up on her feet. I held onto her arm. Then, her sister turned around to face us. She looked scared but not just because we were here but because she struck her sister.
Queen Lianna: Why are you all here? W-Wait never mind. I-It doesn't matter. It's just you have to get out of here!
Aqua: No Lia!! I know we can work this out together!!!
Queen Lianna: HOW?! What power do you have to stop me?
Me: Aqua, I think we should get out of here.
Aqua: No! I'm leaving without you, Lia!!
Queen Lianna: Yes...you are!!
Then, Queen Lianna created some huge blob of snow that became a snow monster. It was about 10 feet tall and looked not really menacing. I tried drawing out my swords but it picked us up and threw us out the door. I was really pissed.
Me, Luffy, and baka cook: OI!!!!
The monster turned around to look at us. Usopp cowardly hid behind a rock while Chopper hid behind Aqua.
Luffy: *to snow monster* Bastard!! That hurt!!!!
Baka cook: This monster has no manners. He really had to throw 3 ladies out the door? How rude.
Me: *smirking* I'd really like to know how it feels to cut snow.

Zoro: *thinking* And how dare he hurt Aqua.
