It was a dark and stormy night. Rain drizzled down, the sounds of it hitting the concrete path lulled her. She turned to her corner, steps quickening to reach her warm home. The dark corner was only lit with one barely alive light, flicking off and on. She hugged her brown coat closer to her as thoughts of strangers that are out there. As she was walking, she saw a dark figure step into the light. She slowed her pace down, watching as it just stood there, her mind screaming to run but she stayed rooted at one place as she watched. The figure pushed its hood off, and Alice heart started beating out of her chest. Dark red eyes, full of hunger staring back at her and a bloody smile greeting her. Fangs dripped with blood, dropped to his chest, darkening the soiled grey sweater.
The dark vampire.
Her dark vampire. His blonde hair was messy as if he rolled out of bed but Alice knows better. A menancing smile on his face since the moment they laid eyes on each other.
" Its him !!! Its him ! " Her mind screaming. Alice was scared shitless but her mind was happy that he was back. After all these years well after 3 years ,7 months and 8 days precisely but no one was counting, of course he dared stood in front her in all of his glory. He could hear her heart beat fastening and he only grinned wider.
"Alice", He stretched out his hand and motioned her foward with his finger.
She was too shocked to move but more afraid of angering him. Nothing good ever comes with an angry vampire. With every step she took, her heart began to beat agaisnt her rib cage harder. Her palms sweating with every second that passed.
"K-Kaden" she stuttered. The grin on his face only grew at the mention of his name from the goddess in front.
With one more step, she fell to the ground. Kaden rushed over to her to help his mate but it was too late.
He knew this would happen, every fiber in him screaming as he watched the curse wrapped around her body. Alice was unconscious fortunately as he watched it lift her from the ground, black tendrils of smoke hissing as he neared her. "Just one more stop" he thought, just one more step to hold her , any part of her to ground his sanity. His hand reached out to touch her fingers before one tendril lashed out and singed his skin red. He hissed from ,the wound burning slowly as if it was mocking him.
He let out a roar, core burning with white hot anger, his body moving him away from his mate on instinct. He watched her with tears burning his eyes, longing to hold her, to feel her, to love her , his soul yearning for familiarity.
One can only pray for a miracle, but Kaden was running out of prayers and patience.
