Hey guys so this chapter might be a little slow but I really want to focus on how Louis deals with Marley's sadness. I also want to focus on the friendship that will develop between Marley and Harry. There might be something in the end between them just a little surprise so...more reason to keep reading. Marley's POV

I was completely shocked. Rocky was gone, she was the best dog ever and I always thought I would have her until she was older.

My phone clattered to the ground and I saw Olive pick it up. She talked to my dad and got details. I started to cry into Louis' shoulder. He leaned into me and kissed my forehead. I felt arms pick me up and stand me up. Louis walked me out onto the sidewalk away from the restraunt. We walked down towards the park we had passed on the way here.

I sobbed loudly and he held his arm around me protectively. We walked down into the park. I couldn't speak and bystanders stared off at me. I think a few girls recognized Louis and I heard them scream run towards him. They ran over and didn't seem to care that I was crying in his arms. He brushed them away and apologized. He walked us over into a grove of trees where no one was around. We sat down and he pulled me into his lap.

I buried my face into his chest and sobbed quietly. He hummed some tune that I didn't know but it helped me stop crying. I focused in on how the sound that resonated through his chest and soon my breathing started to slow. No more tears streaked my face, but I could feel the stickiness from where my tears had fallen. I didn't look up at Louis I didn't want to look at him and see the pity in his eyes. It would just make me cry harder.

"Marley, I'm sorry. I really am. I know how this may feel." His voice resonated through his chest

"It's just I loved her so much Lou. She was there when I cried and I always cuddled with her when I was sick. I mean how could she get hit by a car, she never ran into the road." I sniffled

"Sometimes things happen for a reason love. She was special to you for a long time and you'll always remember her. She is even more happy wherever she is." He spoke plainly

I looked into his cool eyes and my heart melted. I don't know want came over me but I kissed him hungrily. He was shocked at first but kissed me back. Our tongues danced in each others mouth and when things got hot Louis pulled back. I looked up at him and pouted. He looked at me and looked at copied my face.

"Marley we're in a park. A public park and your just getting over something really bad. Trust me your just kind of...what's the word? Emotional? Hormonal? Probably a combination since you're on you're period." He sighed. Then a look of shock crossed his face when he realized that he had just talked about me on my period.

"How do you know that I'm on my period?"

Louis struggled to get the answer out, "Erm...I think I just know you that well. Somehow we have that erm...connection."

"Olive told you didn't she?" I said pointedly

He started to deny it but gave in , "Yeah she kind of blurted it out, she told me not to tell you. I'm guessing you might kill her and then she'll do something to me."

I laughed and started to tear up again. I was reminded that I was had been having all this fun and Rocky had gotten killed. My hormones must have played a little bit into this. Again I crashed my head into his shoulder and cried even harder. He comforted me until it got dark.
