Chapter 1: The Figure in the Woods

Aphmau's P.O.V.

After leaving the guard tower where I gave Garroth, Laurence, and Dante the armour that Kaitlin gifted us, I walk home. An erie feeling crawls up my spine. Something is watching me. I feel it. I begin to worry looking in every which way only to disappoint myself seeing that I can't find the watcher. I quickly gait home trying to not look worried as I open the purple door at the top of the stone brick stairs. Levin, Malachi, and Zoey are all sitting at the table eating dinner. I sit down at the table to have a nice dinner with my two sons and a blessing from Lady Irene. That blessing is Zoey. " I can't thank you enough Zoey for watching the kids again!" I say appreciative. "Oh Aphmau your very welcome, I love being with the kids, it's so much fun!" Zoey replies.
"Zowy wike us! Zowy wikes us awot!" Levin shouts with bright smile on his face.
"Yeah! Zoey is around us a lot. When do you get time with you?" Malachi asks concerned. My heart just melts.
"Oh Malachi, we will plan something this weekend. You, me, Levin, Zoey, and maybe Garroth and Laurance wanna join us!" I tell Malachi.
"Daddy come?" Asks Levin excitedly.
"Now Levin whose your Daddy?" I asked giggling right along with Zoey.
"Gawwof! So will Daddy come?" Levin says jumping up and down on his chair clapping his hands while giggling.
"Well we will just have to ask Garroth now won't we?" I tell him.
"Yeah, yeah! I'll ask Daddy tomorrow!"
" I'll take you and Malachi down ther in the morning, so you and bubby better get to bed."
"Okay! Come on bubby" screams Levin while grabbing Malachi's arm and running upstairs.
Zoey and let out a chuckle. " I'll see you in the morning, after I'm done with Levin and Malachi is it okay if you watch them again so I can do my daily rounds?" I ask
" Ofcourse Aphmau! I'll make breakfast in the morning and then practice my magiks while waiting for them to return."
"Thank you so much!"
" Again Lady Aphmau, don't mention it!"
I head upstairs to go to bed while Zoey cleans up. I lay in my purple canopy bed thinking about Levin calling Garroth Daddy. It makes me smile thinking about Levin wants us together as much as I do. I stop my thoughts because I was disrupted by the Erie feeling again. I lay awake ,restless, all night.

Early that Morning

I wake up to an excited Levin jumping on my chest screaming " Mommy time to see Daddy!" Malachi stands at the end of my bed laughing at Levin.
"Levin, let's go down stairs and eat before we leave. "
"Okay!"
We all walk downstairs together and eat the yummy breakfast Zoey made, and head for the guard tower. I still feel something watching me.
We reach the top of the guard tower where Garroth is and Levin us already yelling "Daddy come with us this weekend!" Garroth is already laughing at the sight of Malachi and Levin grabbing his arm and jumping up and down. After that I then Realise Garroth's helmet is off again. Hmm I wonder.
Garroth asks "What is this all about?" With a slight chuckle.
"I promised Levin and Malachi we'd go somewhere this weekend and they really wanted to take you. "
"Well if be honoured. " He said looking at Malachi and Levin then me.
His facial expression changed to a worried look. " Hey boys, will you go to Zoey, I need to talk to your mother for a moment. "Garroth asked. They nodded and left quickly.
"Aphmau, you look like you haven't slept at all. What's going on?" Garroth asked while coming closer to me and grabbing my hand.
I love it when he does that. "I.....I...Feel like something's watching me. " I said trembling a little.

Garroth's P.O.V.

I could see the fear in her beautiful amber eyes. She was shaking at the thought of it. " I won't let anything touch......... I promise" I told with all my heart
Kaitlin climbed in the guard tower and announced that she was leaving. She quickly exited the guard tower and got on her ship.

Time skip to after Aphmau's daily rounds. She starts walking home. Aphmau's POV

I walk home after my daily rounds still feeling watched. Out of the corner of my eye I see a figure. It's him. I chase after him running into the forest. My lungs are burning and my heart is racing. I stop because I lose sight of it. Turning every direction to find it, but I can't. It's so cold and windy. I hear rustling and footsteps. A dark shadow begins beating me. Why? Just use dark magiks. But no, he let me suffer. I tried fight back, I tried so hard. I couldn't touch the dark shadow. After the thirteenth or fourteenth punch I begin to get dizzy, stumbling over my feet as the shadow continues beating me. Then I fell to the ground. Everything turned dark. I blacked out.
