Let the Games Begin!

____'s POV

"We finally made it! After 6 years of training we finally made it!"

Where are you, you ask? Well right now you are at the Indigo Plateau, ready to beat everyone!

"Venuasaur~" Venuasaur gladly cheered at my happiness. Venuasaur and I have grown very close! Sure it was difficult at times but we made it!

"Let's go register, I don't want to miss this!" I quickly ran to the Nurse Joy here and showed her my Pokédex. "Alright, so your, ____ Ketchum from Pallet Town?"
"I sure am!"
"Alright. Here's your Pokédex! Have fun and good luck!" She said.
"Thank you and I will!" I ran outside to see all these people training and chatting away. It felt nice to be here. So relaxing, until.

BEEP BEEP!

Me and my Venuasaur looked to our left and there we saw,

Gary Oak.

I haven't seen him for like what? 6 years? He grown up so much! He looks more... Handsome.
I couldn't help but blush. I've grown strong feeling towards him since our last encounter at the Pokémon Centre. I just couldn't believe he was here! But it did make sense because well.. He's also a Pokémon trainer.

"All trainers participating in the Indigo Plateau please come to the lobby to see who you'll be battling in the first round, thank you!" The announcer said.

I turned to Venuasaur. "Ready Pal?" "Venu, Venuasaur~!" Venuasaur cheered. But someone just had to ruin the moment.

"Why hello there! How long has it been? 6 years, loser?" He smirked. "Hello to you too, Porcupine! Long time no see! How may I be of assistance?" I grinned. "Not bad. Hey I've been meaning to say," he took a step closer "would you want to kiss me again, little girl?"
He kept that smirk on while I put on a blush and stepped forward. "That was a long time ago Gare-Bear, not now."

He took a couple of steps towards me until his face was 3 inches away from mine.

My heart was pounding like crazy! It was like that time when we kissed back at the Pokémon Centre!

"W-we better g-get going to the l-lobby." I stuttered. I hate when that happens! "Fine... We'll continue this moment after we defeat our opponents. That is if you can beat them..."
"I can so! I'm not weak!" I whined. "Sure.. Smell ya later, loser!" With that, he ran to the lobby.

"Here we have, Ash Ketchum from Pallet town bringing the Moltres flame to the top!"

Everyone was cheering. I couldn't wait! This was my chance to prove that I will be the strongest of them all! Also to say in Gary's face that I'm way better then him, of course.

I was watching my brother bring the Moltres flame to the top. I couldn't believe he was doing it though. Some lucky kid he is.

After what seemed like forever, the flame was lit up and the games have begun!

"Ready, Venuasaur?" I was currently in the small room all the trainers were in for last minute preparations.
"Venuasaur~" he nuzzled his huge cheek onto my face. "Okay, Venuasaur. Now, let's win this thing so we can prove we are the strongest of them all! Especially Gary!" I cheered. Venuasaur let out a happy battle cry.

"Now, the judges are deciding on who will battle who for the first round! While they are doing that I'll explain the rules!
Number one, you can only use one Pokémon in this match. Number two, no substitutes. Last but not least, have fun!" The announcer cheered. Everyone cheered with him so I did too.

"Okay we have our match ups...
And here they are!" He pointed to the board. I looked up at it, determination in my eyes.
Whoever I get paired up with will lose!

I got paired up with some random boy. I'm glad it wasn't Gary because I wanted to face him in the finals. Also because I didn't want to lose or get humiliated in the first match.

I was now on the battle field. Waving at all the people. I then turned my attention the boy. "I won't lose to you!" I shouted. "Yes you will! I have very strong Pokémon! I won't lose to a girl like you!" He shouted back.
What does he mean a girl like me?! I'm awesome right? I thought so, my family thought so, my friends thought so, even my Pokémon and strangers for Mewtwo's sake! Whatever. All I know is I'm gonna win!
