Destruction, death, and fear thats all Clare saw throughout her life. Her and her father lived in a small hut outside of Bolgarin, the capital of the New World Order. She woke up every morning to the smell of smog. After she washed up she went outside to work in the garden and prepare lunch for her father. Her dad worked at the new car factory in Damaskus about five miles from Bolgarin. He made only five dollars each day and always worked for at least 12 hours. When he came home he would fall asleep on the couch and then make dinner. Her mom was murdered ten years ago. She was the ceo of Mondoman, the second most popular car company in the world. She was on her way home from work one Christmas eve and was shot by a sniper on the 216 freeway. They never found her murderer. Now here she was only fifteen and having to work at a butcher shop to make extra money. She wished she could just go back to the time when her mom was there and she got whatever she needed.
As she finished her lunch she headed to the butcher shop where she knew Mark was gonna have her gut a pig he had bought yesterday. Mark was a stubborn man who wouldn’t take no for an answer. He had short brown hair and dark brown eyes. When it came to his clothes he looked just like everyone else in the village only his was always covered in blood. When she got there Mark was yelling at a man who seemed to be very rich. The man had black hair and blue eyes and was wearing a very nice suit. “I’m here Mark, you got a pig or goat for me?” I asked.
“Yah, go to the back and get started I’ll be back there in a second.” he said with an anger that had been brewing.
“Ok call me if you need me then.” The man in the suit just stood there looking irritated and annoyed. He must be trying to buy Marks butcher shop. Mark had gotten several offers from big companies and he always turned them down. major companies wanted his shop because if you wanted fresh meat in this village Marks shop was the only one around for miles. When I got to the back there was a pig lying in a pool of blood. I started to butcher the pig when Mark came in “hi Mark what do you need?” I asked.
“I need you to go to the city and get some bullets,” he said.
“But that will take all day,”I complained.
“Too bad either go get the bullets or go home and don’t come back,” he declared.
“Fine I’ll do it can I have a couple of dollars for the ticket and food?” I asked.
“Whatever, here’s ten dollars spend it wisely,” he said
“Thanks Mark, do you mind telling my dad where I am?”
“Sure now get going and you can make it back by nightfall,”
“Thanks I’ll be right back,”
“Oh and take the gun there is one clip in it you might need it,” he said as if to warn me for what was to come
“Again thanks Mark I’ll be back tomorrow.” I was on my way to bus station when a Black limo pulled up and stopped right in front of me. “Hey!” I yelled at the driver when he got out. “Watch where you're going!” When he opened the car door I was shocked by what i saw, it was my absolute best friend ever. “Ashley, I can’t believe it’s you, where have you been!” I yelled.
“Clare?” she questioned. “Is that you?”
“Yeah it’s me, I can’t believe it’s you!” I said as I hugged her as hard as I could. “Where have you been all this time?”
