Chapter 1- The Accident

8:15am
It was a nice day in North Carolina. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, Evie and her Best Friend Echo were FaceTiming. Echo's Mother had got into a horrible accident, a car accident just about a month ago, she was slowly recovering. Evie wanted to get it off her mind, so she took her shopping and out for Lunch.

1:35pm
Evie got into her car, she had to think for a second. Then she drove off, she arrived at Evie's house minutes later. It was a surprise, Echo had no idea what Evie had planned. Evie knocked on the door, about 5 seconds later Echo had came running down the stairs in tears. She ran over to Echo and gave her a huge hug. They sat there in each other's arms, until Echo had finally stopped crying. Evie stood up with confidence and said " let's go, I know a car isn't the best place for you to be but I have to get you out of here get it off your mind." Echo stood up slowly and silently and walked outside. She opened the car door and got inside. Evie opened the car door and got into the car a little concerned and said "Echo, are you okay with this?" Echo didn't reply with any type of answer, just one word and that word was "Drive." Evie was a little frightened she has never seen anyone like this, especially not Echo. Evie didn't want to hurt or upset her so she drove. Even though Evie planned to take her shopping, instead they stopped by the water. Echo got out of the car and went and sat on the closest rock to the water that she could find. Evie followed her and sat by a near by rock, Evie asked "are you okay Echo?" She replied with "No, I don't think I'll ever be okay." They just sat in silence, looking at the beautiful water, all the colours of the sunset were amazing.. Orange, pink, yellow, and purple they were all so beautiful. They sat there for about a half an hour, just sitting in silence. Then Echo started crying. Evie started to ask her "wha-" and then she though that was a stupid question. Then she corrected herself "it's going to be okay, I promise" Echo looked at her with a stern look and replied with "are you serious?" Evie had a look of frustration on her face " Echo I'm just trying to help, let's get you home." Echo was standing at the end of the rock she had been sitting on for the past hour. "I'm not going anywhere with you" and then jumped into the water. Evie screamed "No, Echo.." Evie didn't know how she was going to explain this to Echo's Father, but she better find away fast.. Before she dies.
