Autumn Wilson lived in the rural countryside when her mother was first diagnosed with stage 4 skin cancer. They took care of her at home and drove her to the hospital for treatments. Finally, Miranda Wilson was sent home one day for good. Doctors said that there was nothing they could and she wasn't going to make it.
On one hot night in the late summer, Autumn Wilson, at the age of 14, lost her beloved mother. She had lost her to God and from then on, Autumn was a different person. Most people go through a change like this at a much older age. Autumn, on the other hand, matured and piece of her was lost.
Less than only a few months after her loss, Autumn noticed her dad acting very different. That was when his life-changing drug and alcohol addiction had begun. She figured he had changed a little bit too or was just sad about losing his wife. Little did she know that her own father was lost in a deep depression, so deep there was no way out.
