The Diaries of Melody Kate's Death

The halls were filled with students. It was quite to quite. No one had talked to anyone not since the death of Melody Kate I watched as students walked to thee class rooms in total silence. I didn’t know Melody Kate like most of the students here did. I came maybe a month after her suicide but from what I heard she was the most loved person in Wickerry Victoria Australia. I moved here from Queensland a month after she died. Her best friend Shaylynn Grant who was one of the popular girls fell in with bad crowd, and became Goth.

When I first moved to this town. There where pictures of Melody Kate everywhere, candles lit. I didn’t know her but I felt like I did. Rumors fluttered around the school fast but there just rumors.

There was one rumor that said she was having an affair with a teacher and she wanted to break it off and the teacher just snapped and melody had no other option then to jump. There was another rumor saying she was at a party undercover as student at rival high Mason Grammar school (mason is the next town) and the host Luke Spellman also known as the bad boy gave her a drug that made her see butterflies and one flew away and she followed it and just as it reached wickerry bridge she caught it but it flew over the water and she walked straight off.

Melody Kate was a well love student. I didn’t know her back then but I feel like I know more about her now then I would have ever if she was alive.

Shaylynn grant didn’t speak to anyone out side of her little circle of ‘freaks’ or so that’s what my friend Jenny said, jenny was also best friends with melody. But now you wouldn’t think about it. The way she talks about melody’s death was like she hated her.

No one really talked about Melody Kate much. It’s like every student I have meet so far had something to hide. I stared at shaylynn grant, she was sitting in the library desk in study hall with her friends. One of the guys she hung out with Jasper DiLaurentis he was one of those emo or Goths or what ever you call them. Shaylynn sat there listening to her ipod and her feet up not doing anything. I was trying to concentrate on my studies. I liked keeping my self busy with almost anything. Jasper was throwing stuff at one of the loner girls called Molly Roswell. She was nice; I have only spoken to her once in the hallways to find directions.

Molly use to be in Melody Kate’s friend ship group but molly stole Melody’s boyfriend and they never spoke again…or so that Is what jenny said.

I heard one rumor about Melody Kate’s Death. I heard that Molly had called Melody to meet her at the bridge apparently molly was drunk and she was on the bridge and melody was trying to get molly off, when molly finally got off she pushed melody off the bridge. I know that was just a rumor though, molly had never called Melody the night of her death jenny checked melody’s mobile.

“Dude stop it” Molly yelled

“Ohh freak can talk” jasper laughed

Jasper continued to throw things at molly. I was in study hall alone so I decide to go sit over next to her. I got all my things together and walked over to her table.

“Hi molly” I smiled

“Oh hi Lola” She smiled back

“Is anyone sitting here” I asked

“Nope” she said

“Do you mind If I sit here” I asked

“Go for it…Miranda Lena make room for Lola” she laughed

“Thanks” I smiled

“Miranda and Lena isn’t real people” she whispered

“Got ya” I laughed “Why is jasper such an ass-whole to you?”

“Probably because he is friends with shaylynn…she is the one that hates me” molly smiled

“Why?” I asked

“She thinks I killed Melody Kate” molly whispered

“Why would she think that?” I asked

“Because I was the last one to talk to her” molly sighed

The bell rang for recess. I quickly collected my things and shoved them into my bag. I was a bit creped out by that…for someone that hated Melody Kate why was Molly the last one to talk to her.
