"Baka naman hindi ka na nakakatulog nyan, ha?" lumapit si Aleina sa kanyang mag-ama na nasa kama.

"Nakakatulog naman ako, mahal. Magpahinga ka na habang tulog pa si baby Ales. Ako na muna ang bahala at magbabantay sa kanya, ok?"

"Eh ikaw naman na halos ang nag--"

"Let's not discuss about this anymore, mahal. Sige na. Tumabi ka na kay baby at pareho ko kayong babantayan.."

She smiled at her husband. He's been really a good father to their baby since she was born a couple of month ago.

"Sige, but as soon as I woke up.. You rest also, ha, mahal?" lumapit sya sa asawa at saka dinampian ng halik ang mga labi nito.

"Sige na, matulog ka na. Kakailanganin mo yan 'cause I'll make you tired later." he teased.

"Ok."

He was froze by her answer. He was just joking but then she approved? Good gracious!

Yumuko ito at saka nagkunwaring inayos ang kumot ng kanilang anak.

"There's no need to be shy, mahal. Ilang beses na kitang nakitang kinilig dahil sa akin tapos ngayon ka pa mahihiya?" she giggled.

"Stop it. One more talk and you're not gonna have a decent rest for today.. Ikaw rin, wala pa namang magbabantay kay baby."

"Oh! I forgot to tell you?"

"Tell what?"

"Mama and Ulysses will be here any minute now. Kaya nga inihanda ko yung kwarto sa baba kasi dito mags-stay si mama overnight,"

"Si mama lang? How about Ulysses?"

"Nah. He has a dinner meeting later and he needs to go home and check for Shaira."

"Shaira?"

"Yeah. Shaira Montenegro? His long-time girlfriend. Naku, kausapin mo nga si Ulysses later!"

"Why would I?" he watched his wife lied down.

"Wala yatang balak mag-asawa! Even mama's bothered about this.."

"Bakit ba kayo nagmamadali? You know---"

"Shaira's near to drifting away... I'm a woman too. I felt it the last time she visited baby Selena."

He reached his wife's arm and caressed it.

"I will try to. But I am not gonna promise you it'll turn out well, ok?"

She nodded, still not closing her eyes.

"Aren't you gonna sleep?"

She smiled. Then a knock got their attention..

"I think threy're here.." she said as her husband stood up and open the door.

"Mama!" he kissed.

"Naku, kaya pala hindi nyo naririnig ang doorbell nandito pala kayo sa taas. Good thing I have a duplicate on your gate and main door."

"Sorry, ma, baby is sleeping kasi tsaka magpapahinga na rin muna sana si Aleina kaya nandito kami lahat,"

"O, sige.. Ako na ang bahala dito. Doon na kayo sa kwarto nyo magpahinga. Bubuhatin ko na sya papunta sa baba.. I don't want to be here inside a baby's room for another minute."

They laughed smoothly.

"Sige, ma." she carefully lifted her sleeping daughter and gave it to her mother.

"Ako na ang bahala dito. Si Ulysses, mamayang alas tres pa magpupunta dito may aasikasuhin lang daw."

Tinanguan na lang nila ito at saka nauna ng lumabas at nagdiretso sa kanilang kwarto..

"Don't throw me that kind of look, Jaustin."

"What? I was just looking at you!" he chuckled.

"Denying now, huh, Jaustin?" she teased.

" I am.. not."

They closed the door and locked it.

"You know what I wanna do now here with you inside this room? Just the two of us, my wife?"

"I don't wanna hear it. I wanna sleep so stop teasing me."

He let out another chuckle again.

"That was I wanted to do here with you. To sleep,"

"Stop it. I know what you're thinking.. Gamay na gamay na kita."

Nahiga silang pareho sa kanilang kama. Humarap sila sa isa't isa at saka ngumiti..

"Thank you,"

"Hmm? For what?"

"For giving us a beautiful Selena Aleistine, for the love and care.."

"Jaustin.."

"I just want to say that I am so happy that you chose to spend the rest of your life with me, for giving us an angel, and I want to tell you I love you. I want to make you feel how much I do love you everyday.."

"Jaustin.. What's with the drama?"

"I love you, Mrs Jaustin Callum David."

"I love you too.. so much. That I don't wanna think about tomorrow without you in my life."

They end up hugging each other, shutting their eyes, smiling, and hearing their both hearts beat for each other..
