Miss Classy, Mister Trashy
Chapter One
"Sapphire are you still there?" My best friend Ashley Montes snapped her fingers in front of my face, waking me up from my trance.
"Hmm?" I stared mindlessly at my best friend taking in her physical features. Light blonde hair, sky blue doe eyes, straight nose, the ultimate American girl.
"Repeat what I just said." She ordered me.
"About how hot Fransisco Lachowski is and how badly you want to marry him." I rolled my eyes at her.
"You were clearly not listening!" She groaned and face palmed herself. "You had a point there but that's not what I'm talking about."
"Uh, about how you want Zac Efron to date you?" I guessed again.
"Nuh uh." She waved a finger in front of me.
"Then what?"
"We need to buy a dress." She stated.
"For what?"
"And I thought you were listening." She mumbled under her breath. "Anyways, there's a party this coming Friday and it's not just a party. This is the seniors' last hurrah before we go to uni. We need to be there. And this could be a chance to get us some boys." She wiggled her eyebrows.
I gave her a bored look and raised one of my eyebrows.
"Okay, I'm joking about the boys!" She raised both of her hands in defeat. I laughed and she followed.
"Sure, but I'm going to ask daddy about this though". I told her as soon as our laughter died down. "You know how he gets over protective."
"Yeah, sure." She nods understandingly.
We were chatting about nothing until we got disrupted with a knock on my bedroom door.
"Come in!" I ordered and a man in his late fifties came in. His once brown hair has now become thin locks of grey hair. His mesmerizing dark eyes are now having a hint of age.
"Dinner is ready Sapphire." Bruce, our family butler told me the moment he entered my room.
"Thanks, I'll be down in a minute." I smiled at him and he exited my room.
I glanced at Ashley and her eyes are wide open.
"Shizzazles! We lost track of time!" She exclaimed before rushing on to grab her purse and put on her sneakers.
"What's wrong?" I asked her.
"We are having company over for dinner and I'm supposed to help my mom prepare." She told me while fixing her hair. "Look, I got to go." She looked at me before rushing out of my room.
"Take care!" I yelled at her before she slammed the door shut.
I got down from the comfort of my bed and placed both of my feet into the white fluffy carpet on the floor next to my bed. I found a pair of slippers by the door and put it on before heading out of the door.
Walking down the stairs, I hummed a small song and I can hear the faint echo of my voice bouncing back at me. I walked in the direction of the long hallways heading to the dining area. The walls were painted a cream colour like the rest of the house and a few paintings were hanged on fancy golden frames.
The entrance to the dining area has a doorway that forms an arch. The inside was fancy and airy. A long dark brown wooden table greeted me when I entered the dining area. Sixteen chairs were placed around with soft leather cushions.
A chandelier was placed above the center of the table and three candelabras are placed on the table for decoration.
I went to my seat at the far end of the table where I found my plate and other utensils. I took a seat and waited for my food to be served.
Thea, a woman in her mid-20's got in the room pushing a cart full of food. The smell of food is enough to make my mouth water and my stomach rumble.
She stopped the cart at the edge of the table and started to serve the food. She took the empty plate in front of me and replaced it with the one that has my dinner. Dinner for tonight is Greek chicken. It's not that much, but this is our cook Frey's specialty.
I grabbed a fork from the many utensils in front of me and started to eat my meal while Thea poured water in a glass and exited the room after doing so.
This is how I eat my meals. Alone in a large table big enough to have a feast in a room so big and quiet. The only sound that I can hear is the sound of my fork scraping the porcelain plate.

"But Daddy please, I need to go to this party," I whined.
"I'm pretty sure that place would have alcohol served, you know that". The voice from the other line told me. "What happens next would be self-explanatory".
"Dad this is the last party that I'm going to attend to before I start college". I argued. "And it's not like I was attending parties all my four years in high school".
I heard my dad sigh and the line went silent for a while.
"Fine, but as long you agree on one condition".
"Oh my gosh dad, really?" I squealed. "Thanks dad, I love youuu!"
"I haven't told you the condition yet".
"Oh yeah right, what is it daddy?"
"Neil goes with you".
"Neil who?"
"Neil from the security agency".
"I have to bring a bodyguard to a party? Dad, are you serious?"
"I'm always serious when it comes to your security". He replied.
"Ugh! Fine." I groaned. "But please tell him to wear something other than a tux and slacks".
"As you wish darling".
"Thanks daddy".
"I need to go. I'll call you soon".
"Okay daddy, I love you".
"I love you too. Be safe always, okay?"
"Okay daddy, bye".
"Bye".
Dad ended the call and I walked to the balcony of my room and stared at the sky. The dark sky was spotted with countless stars and the visible full moon brightens the surroundings.
I closed my eyes as I felt a gentle breeze brush my face and I could hear a few birds from a distance. The breeze gently tussling my wavy jet black hair. I opened my eyes again to have myself lie on the balcony floor and gaze at the stars.
I wonder if somebody is staring at the same stars right now.
