The happiness you felt with that one boy was essential, fairly obvious to the both of you that there was definitely something special sparking between you two.
However, your heart carried a heavy weight, something that seemingly felt guilty.
You didn't understand why you felt so, but a tight pang of pain would squeeze at your heart whenever you and Myungsoo talked, and as soon as he smiled at you, he would quickly stop himself and look away.
Sometimes you'd confront him about it, asking your best friend what was wrong, but every time he'd simply answer in a familiar pattern of replies surrounding the lines of "Nothing is wrong, i'm completely fine. Don't worry, ___."
Truthfully, it seemed like that ray of mysterious sunshine known as Myungsoo was trying to avoid you and attempting to hide his happiness whenever he was with you.
One day, you nervously bit your lip as you spotted Myungsoo in public. You would always hang with him on the weekends, such as at the mall and other smaller stores, even cafes. However, after some point in time, you slowly separated, and Myungsoo would make excuses just so he doesn't have to go anywhere in public with you.
The dark haired boy was grinning, his handsome eye smile appearing when he talked with his friends, some of which had girls around them.
Questioningly, you tilted your head to the side.
You could have sworn you stayed in that one spot in the middle of a crowd for what seemed to be millennia, people walking around and past you.
Myungsoo didn't even notice you the first couple moments you stood there, until one of his friends pointed you out; you could just barely hear his friend ask, "hey, isn't that ___?"
Myungsoo's smile disappeared once he saw you, and your heart dropped when you saw the uneasiness weigh within his dark eyes.
Why did you have to feel this way every time you saw him? He was your friend, and you shouldn't have felt such a pain.
But, of course, your inner emotions conflicted with each other and begged to differ.
A twist of courage surged through you, a feeling that sought the boy, whom was a whole street width away from you, but also caused you to want to crawl under a rock.
You gulped out of unsureness. Checking both ways before crossing, you proudly walked across the street that was surging with cyclists and people, pushing through people, your gaze solely locked on Myungsoo.
You could feel the uneasiness radiating off of his body as he awkward looked around and glanced at his friends, but soon, he stopped in his tracks. His eyes now transformed from shifty, cloudy eyes to his signature cold, piercing diamond-like stare.
"Hey, Myungsoo, can I talk to you for a sec?" You asked your friend once you now stood in front of him. Your face grew hot when you heard the giggles of the girls near him.
Myungsoo's lips parted slightly as if to say something, but instead he closed them and nodded his head, signaling a goodbye to his friends as he stepped forward, now positioning himself next to you.
However, he didn't seem to want to wait for you, as his feet were already ready to walk away.
You grabbed ahold of his wrist, to which he responded with a "hey!", and dragged him to an area outside a shop a bit farther way from the large crowds of people.
There, you took the time to take in your thoughts, as Myungsoo rambled useless questions inquiring why you brought him here.
You solemnly thought about all the things you and Myungsoo had done together, as well as the point in time he eventually began to drift away from you and began to act strange.
