I personally thought my life was pretty normal, to be honest. I mean , who doesn't have an evil secretary, crazy little twin sisters, and have a Godly parent? That's right. Everyone. Well, I suppose not everyone, but, y'know it's just not usual. Bottom line?! There's a new evil rising. Can't really tell you what it is because personally? I'm not even sure what it is...but I will by the time you start reading this.

So, My cousin, the amazing Percy Jackson, told me to say this before I start this book off. Said it'll bring up some memories....

Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood. If you think you might be one, my suggestion is close this book (Or in some cases, X out of this story) right now. Go back to believing whatever lie your Mom or Dad told you about your birth.....

There's more but I honestly don't feel like reading it all. Anyways, lets get the story started.

It all started about a month ago:

It had been a long day at school. And I mean super long. Like, six energy drinks couldn't keep you awake, long. My only friend from school, Grover, and I were both sitting in my attic bedroom doing homework. He was sitting on the bunk below me, chewing on a tin can as his nervous habit.
My Step-Dad told him to stop doing it because how harmful it could've been to his teeth but he did it anyway. "Aye," I called from the top bunk, "What'd you get for number four?" I peeked over the edge. Grover opened the text book beside him. "Odysseus" He said as if it were obvious. "Shouldn't you know this?" I shrugged, writing the answer down on my 'Latin Arts' worksheet. "Not with you by my side, man" I laughed. "Besides, you told Mr. Brunner you'd help me!" I sat up, looking at the next question. He muttered something under his breath that I didn't understand just as yelling came from downstairs. "Ba-ha-ha-ha" Grover did his 'Urkle laugh' as I like to call it.

I sighed, looking up at the ceiling as I laid down, slamming the book shut. "Here we go again..." I muttered, sitting up at there was a knock on the door. "Come in" I called. Within two seconds, in piled two twins. My twin sisters, Anna-Marie and Florence-Gale. Each looked like my Step-Mom, their real Mom. They had tan skin and long, thick, dark hair with brown eyes. The twins were more on the chubbier side and were short for their age of 12.

"Make it stop!" Anna-Marie, the youngest of the two, started crying. I sighed, jumping off the top bunk instead of using the ladder. I held both of them close. "What are they fighting about now?" I asked. Grover stood behind me. "Something about sending you to Summer camp" Florence-Gale looked up at me. Grover did his Urkle laugh again. I instantly knew to feel worried. I had been a delinquent all year. With my luck, they were sending me to boarding school.

I exchanged glances with Grover and took a deep breath. "Stay here with the twins, I'll get them to work things out" I headed for the door.

I slowly crept down the squeaky stairs. Joan and James were fighting in their bedroom, the door wide open. I walked to the door and hid behind a stack of boxes filled with junk that sat beside the door frame.

"Joan!" Yelled James, "We aren't sending him anywhere! I don't care if my family's life depends on it! The idiot doesn't deserve Summer Camp!' I listened closer. "James, it's the only way to keep all of us safe." Joan snapped. "Besides, you act like we can afford him staying here! Grover would take him there tonight or tomorrow morning and then he's out of our hair! He can even stay there year-round!" I heard the sound of something-or someone-being slapped and felt my stomach drop. Anger boiled inside of me, I resisted the urge to go in there and punch James in the face. Sure, they were both horrible to me, but I respected Joan more, she's been with me longer and wasn't abusive. Physically abusive anyways...."What are they talking about?" I whispered quietly to nobody in particular. A minute passed and I heard Joan scream bloody murder as the sound of glass shattering filled the house.
