~ hey guys, my book got deleted for some reason. I wanted to change the book soo yeah, theres still the same characters. hope you like my ' new ' book :)

~ Caleb's POV ~

I wrap my arm around Kaelan's neck and wiped a tear drop off her cheek, I give her a hug.

" Everything's gonna be okay. " I say to her, her face changed and started bursting into tears. She pushes my arm off her.

" No it's not, how am I gonna be okay when mom's not around anymore?! " she yells out. She runs to her room and slams the door.. loud.

I look down with a sigh. Mom... I thought, I wish you were here.

{ FLASHBACK }

I pace back and forth in the waiting room, waiting for Kaelan to show up. A few minutes later I see Kaelan come in, looking nervous and upset.

" Finally you- "

" Where's mom? How is she?! " Kaelan interrupts

" They're still doing tests on her, the results will come soon. " I say

Kaelan sits in a chair beside me and covers her face with her hands. I hug her tight and she hugs back, she starts to cry and sob on my shoulder.

4 minutes passed by and the doctor came with a clipboard. Kaelan stood up and ran up to him.

" Is she gonna be okay? " she asks

" We did some tests and it turns out that she has lung cancer. There was nothing we could do to make her lungs healthy and strong again. She has 30 minutes to live before her blood goes down. "

There was silence, I feel my heart racing. I couldn't believe on what just happened with mom. Lung cancer?

" Can we see her please? " I ask and stood beside Kaelan

" Sure, follow me. " He walks up to a room and opens the door. I see mom, leaning against a pillow on her bed. As soon as she saw us, her face lit up.

" Kaelan, Caleb! " mom says happily. I'll never forget that voice.

" Mom! " we both say at the same time and gave her a hug.

Saying our last words to mom felt memorable but tough.. it was painful hearing the beep on the monitor. Me.. holding Kaelan in my arms, crying, sobbing. Seeing her in that coffin made me miss her even more. She's gone.

{ FLASHBACK ENDS }

~ Amiel's POV ~

After watching that scene between Kaelan and Caleb, my face turned sad. I walked over to Caleb and sat next to him, he didn't bother to look up.

" You gonna be okay? " I ask

" Yeah, I'll be fine. " he rubs his neck.

" I could talk to her. "

" No, you don't have too. She- " Caleb looks up

" Just... let me try. " I stood up and walked to Kaelan's room, I knock on we door.

" Kaelan, can I please come in? " I ask

" No! Go away Amiel. " she frustratedly says

" Too bad. I'm not leaving till you open this door. " I crossed my arms and lean against the door

" Bitch, go away! "

" Nope. I ain't leaving. "

It suddenly became silent, I didn't hear footsteps or anything. It was Dead. Silent. Just then, the door opened and I fell to the ground on my back. I heard a slight giggle from Kaelan, sounded cute.

She helped me up, she sat on her bed and I looked around her room. Light blue zigzagged stripes on the walls, love quotes on the wall, beautiful paintings of tulips and roses.

" Nice room. " I smiled

" Thanks, I really like decorating. " she grins, her face turns red.

" Flowers too. " I sit down beside her then her face changed back to sad.

" Y-yeah. Roses were my mom's favorite. " Kaelan smiles and looks at one of the paintings

" Don't think to much about your mom. "

" I'm trying not too.. " Kaelan starts to cry

" Hey, don't cr- " my phone starts to ring, " Shit hang on I gotta take this. " I took my phone out of my pocket and walked out of Kaelan's room.

~ Kaelan's POV ~

I stood up and wiped my tears off my cheeks with my sleeve. I walked out of my room and I see Caleb standing in front of me. We both looked at each other. As he was about to walk past me, I threw my arms around him

" I'm sorry.. for yelling. " Caleb smiled and hugged me back.

I went to the kitchen to get some food, nothing good. I looked inside the freezer and there was a cup of ice cream so I took that. Vanilla, my favorite. As I was getting a spoon, the doorbell rang. As I opened the door, I felt something touch my lips, their hands on my waist-
