Chapter 1
"WAKE UP!!!" Shouted my mom trying to wake me up. "UGHHH LEAVE ME ALONE" I shouted back.
"Its your first day of High school!!! DOnt be late for the bus, I'm not driving you Ally!" my mom said. I've been sleeping in for the whole summer so waking up at 6 o'clock in the morning really isn't my thing.
I finally decided to get up and get ready for school then I started walking to the bus stop. "OH MY GOSH Ally! You look great in your new clothes", a sweet voice calls behind me. I turn around and smile as I see my best friend ever since 6th grade, Audrey. "Hey! I can say the same to you!" I say. "Are you looking forward to going to school? It's going to be so different without Chase here", she winks at me.
Chase was my boyfriend last year but he moved to another school this year, so I'm pretty bummed about that. We dated for a whole year in middle school. I guess relationships don't last long in middle school and same for high school. The bus finally comes and Audrey and I find our seats and talk all about our exciting plans for the new school year.
Once I get off the bus, Im ambushed by a swarm of my lovable friends. You may think I'm popular but I really am not, I'm one of those "average" girls. "Ally! How was your summer?!?" Farrah asks me. Farrah is a very pretty girl, and everyone knows it, but her. Her hair is really long, thick and black. She has tan/pale skin, and her hair is naturally wavy, which is really pretty. She's the type of girl that can't accept a compliment and thinks no guys like her, but really everybody drools over her. "Hey rapunzel what's up!" (She hates being called rapunzel so that's why I'm calling her that) "UGH DON'T CALL ME THAT" she screams at me and then walks away. Audrey and I double over in laughter. Then the bell rings and we all proceed to first period.
My first period is science, the worst subject of all time. My friend Sasha walks in and my heart makes a leap of joy. I really didn't want to be a loner without anybody to talk to in that class. "Sasha! Hey sit next to me!" I had chosen a seat all the way in the back not to attract attention.
As Sasha makes her way toward me, a boy with dreamy blue eyes and short brown hair that hangs a little above his eyes, walks in and I involuntary totally forget all about Sasha. He was gorgeous, enough said. "Hey ally how was your summer", Sasha asks. "Who is that?" I ask instead of answering her question and point towards the boy. "Oh that's Aaron Carter, known as the schools bad boy", she says with a smirk. "Why?"
"Oh nothing I just never saw him before" I answer with a slight blush.
"Well thanks for answering my question by the way." Again, I was distracted, especially because Aaron took a seat right in front of Sasha. Thank god, by then the teacher, Mr.Wilson, walked in and started teaching so I didn't have to deal with Sasha's curiousity.
My next class was math, and guess who showed up? The one and only, Aaron Carter. It's a little strange to admit it, but I was happy about that. Not that I like him or anything. In math, the teacher assigned our seats alphabetically. My last name is Chris and of course Aaron has to be right next to me. I went over and took a seat where I was assigned to sit. "Umm I think that's my seat" a deep, low and masculine voice said.
I look up and right into his amazing eyes. Bad choice because I just stare at him like an idiot for like 5 minutes, which seems to amuse him. He chuckles and says, "it's alright you can sit there, as long as I'm next to you I don't care." My eyes widen and I feel a deep blush. I play it cool and I just roll my eyes and move to my seat. Yep. As cool as a cucumber.
After math, 3 and 4 period just basically flew by, and then I found myself walking to 5, or gym. I go in the gym, and I find Farrah, Julia, Hayley and also Aaron Carter! That's 3 classes with him... Unless I have 6th period with him. I'm hoping I won't have that class with him, 3 is enough for me.
"Ally! I haven't seen you all summer, I was in Michigan. I missed you so much!" Hayley says as she embraces me in a hug. Hayley is also really pretty, she was part of the "popular" crew in middle school but she got tired of being one of them, and downgraded and became my friend.
She's a blonde and she's really smart. She has the prettiest green eyes ever! As I hug her back, I say, "yeah! I miss you too!" Then out of no where, somebody mocks me and try's to imitate my voice in an annoying way. I turn and look to find Aaron wearing a bright blue shirt that outlines his muscles, and black basketball shorts. I would have yelled at him for mocking me, but I was lost in my thoughts of how hot he looked.
Ugh, I just met him,why am I complimenting him already,(in my head at least). Finally, I smile and sternly say, "what do you want? Sorry for being excited to see my friend again."
He forms a goofy grin on his face and says, "you're adorable when you try to act tough." Then walked away to join his popular friends for basketball.
"Umm who was that?" Hayley asks.
"This kid I met today who's in 3 too many classes with me" I say, trying to sound disgusted.
"He's really cute", Julia says.
We all stare at her like she just killed 5 people because Julia never finds any boys cute EVER.
"I think Ally likes him", Farrah said. They all flash me a mischievous smile. I can feel the heat rising in my cheeks again and say, "I do not! I just met him today and he just mocked me. How can I like that thing?" They all started laughing and walked away to play volleyball. I then ran after them and to join.
After gym, I went to 6th period and finally the day was over! I walk to the bus and wait for Audrey until she gets on. Once she got on, she looks around the bus for me and she has a very happy face. She goes over to me and says, "There you are! OMG I have so much to tell you! Eep!"
"Ok ok ok calm down I'm listening" I say smiling that she had a good day.
"Ok I have 2 classes with this really cute guy named Aaron Carter! He's so hot, I've never laid eyes on a hotter human being", she says.
For some weird reason I feel angry when she says that. For the whole ride home she keeps talking about Aaron and I realize my hand was clutch into a fist. I can not possibly like him. Besides, Audrey and I never liked the same person and we never will. Or at least I hope....
