-PROLOGUE-
Beep... Beep...
My eyelids wearily fluttered open still sensitive to the fluorescent lights overhead. My skin tingled noticing the slight draft in the room as I regained consciousness. I finally found the strength to tilt my head forward some and realized I had had three pairs of reddened heavy eyes on me the entire time.
My brother sat tensely in a metal chair in the corner of the room juggling his attention between me and something else that seemed to be worrying him. I rarely ever saw Anthony like that anymore. Before my mother had adopted him he was always jumpy. He's calmed down quite a bit since then though.
Curiosity eating away at me, I exhausted the rest of my seemingly nonexistent energy to scan the room. I slowly craned my head around the carelessly "decorated" white room flecked with colorful paintings. As my gaze finally reached the other side of the room i saw what seemed like my mother speaking to a tall, unfamiliar man in a white lab coat. Still hazy, I dropped my head back into the pillow situated behind me and closed my eyes.
A dull pain began to come from my arms as a tingling sensation flushed over my soar body. I clenched my stomach. What happened to me?
Things starting to clear up, I noticed several wires and tubes connected to me all over my body. Too tired and confused to be alarmed by all of this, I simply stared at the ceiling.
How'd I end up in a hospital?
