Nathan's P.O.V

Ever since Max had saved us all from the storm, I've felt that we have bonded more. Whenever we are together, alone, I feel I..I feel... Well I don't know. It's like when the sun first shines through the window in the morning, or when the cherry blossoms are in full-bloom, gently swaying in a light breeze. Many people actually say I'm in love with her but I'm not... erm... ha ha definitely not...

"Hey Nate" A sweet voice called out, causing me to turn and to look at my door. There stood the angel herself, Max Caulfield.

"Oh hey, erm.. what are you doing here?" Nervously, I stutter to her, barely managing to form an accurate sentence.

"I just wanted to hang out.... I'm sorry., am I not wanted?"

Frozen in silence, I awkwardly stayed still, not answering. I knew what I wanted to say, but I just couldn't...

"Hello? Prescott?"

Snapping out of my jumbled thoughts, I jump up to my feet, "Oh urm.. No- I don't mind you being here. You're fun to be around,"

"Okay, you're acting really weird..." Max responded unsurely, then continued to say, "You know, If anyone saw you right now, they'd probably think you fancied me!" she giggled like a sweet, little angel.

I was about to respond when her phone rang.

Max's P.O.V

I answered the call- it was Chloe. She told me that her dept with frank has been overdue and that he's trying to kill her. I chuckled at her words.

" Look Max we need to get out of here, let's go to Calafornia... Oh, Bakersfield!"

" Chloe look I don't know-I have friends here!I have nath-" I stopped in my tracks as I saw Nathan staring at me "-people"

"So you're going to leave me again!" Chloe loudly exclaimed, clearly pissed off.

"Fine, fine.." I whisper,"When do we leave?"

"First thing tomorrow, I'll be at the dorms!"

I put the phone down and Nathan asked who it was; I told him it was Chloe just saying she wanted to hang out tomorrow.

"Hey, can I stay here tonight? I mean, like a movie night, of course...?" I asked, causing him to blush a little. Nonetheless, he nodded, a little too enthusiastically than normal...
