-Olivia's POV-
I woke up and looked over at the clock to see it was 10:43 am. We had till eleven to get out of here. I look over to the other twin bed and see Anna just casually scrolling through her phone.
"Anna, we have to check out by 11:00."
"Oh yeah, I forgot." She puts her phone down and heads to the bathroom while I start grabbing all our stuff together. We didn't unpack anything last night since we crashed as soon as we got here, so there wasnt much to do.
We head down to the lobby and check out. Once we walk outside the taxi we called is already waiting.
"Where too?" The taxi driver asks when we get in.
We show him the address of the house we are renting and we are on our way.
"Here we are ladies." The taxi driver says. I thank him and give him a tip along with the original amount it costs.
"Wow this place is nice." Anna says once we get out of the taxi. The house wasn't on the beach but it was only a couple minutes away. It was in a cute little neighborhood with other houses similar to ours. The house itself was better than okay. It had two bedrooms, a guest bedroom, two bathrooms, a spacey kitchen, and a living room.
"Yeah this is going to be an amazing year.
We head up the steps leading to the front door and head inside. I must say packing was the easy part, unpacking wasn't. The house came semi-furnished.. The only things we need to buy are a some decor to match the beachy theme and some extra furniture for our rooms. We still had pick up the car, and get other appliances for the bathroom and kitchen.
"How are we gonna get the car?" I asked Anna who was across the hall.
"We could walk. But it's pretty far,"she said.
Right as I was about to reply to her there was a knock at the door.
I go to answer it and open it to find a guy around my age standing there smiling.
"Uh hi, can I help you?" I asked trying not to sound rude.
"Yeah I live a couple houses down from you just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood."
"Oh hi, im Olivia." Anna walks up to the front door when she hears me introduce myself.
"Im Anna."
"Hi im Ashton. If you guys need help with moving in and all me and my friends could help out."
"I think we are fine for now. So how did you know we were moving in?" I said.
"Oh yeah sorry I probably came off really creepy." He laughed(let me rephrase that) he giggled. "My friends Aunt owns the house and she told us 'kids' are age were renting it out."
"Oh cool."
"Well I'll let you guys get back to unpacking. I'll see you later."
"Bye nice meeting you." Anna says a quite friendly.
Before I close the door he turns back towards the door and stops the door.
"I forgot to ask. Me and my friends are having a small get together at our place down the road. You guys are welcome to come if you aren't busy."
"Alright thanks we'll think about it."
"Tonight at 8:00!"
When I turn around Anna has a huge smile on her face.
"What?" I ask her.
"We are going. We've only been here for about thirty minutes and we've already been invited to a party."
"He said its a small get together..not a party Anna. Plus we dont know him and he just randomly came to our front door."
"Small get together, huge party same thing. He didnt randomly come here he welcomed us to the neighborhood. Plus, he seems nice and he's pretty cute."
"Whatever you think. But trust me im sure you'll be going to alot of parties in college."
"So are we going?"
"Whatever, I guess so if thats what you want." I actually wanted to go and was pretty excited. I'm not sure why but I could tell Anna was too. Even though I knew for sure it wasnt a party. Right?

A couple hours of unpacking later, it was 7:30pm. I actually feel accomplished with hiw much unpacking we got done. I walk into my room and look through the drawers holding my newly folded clothes for something to wear. I decided to keep my leggings on and change my hoodie to a long maroon, short sleeve, shirt. Anna walks out in a grey long sleeve and black shorts with her converse.
We walk across the street at 7:55 since their house is literally across the street and knock on their door.
"Calum get the door!" I hear Ashton yell.
No later does a guy our age with dark hair and olive skin open the front door.
"Oh hi. You must be Anna and Olivia."
"Yeah hey."
"Well come into our house for our lame get together."
"Its not lame Calum." Ashton says.
We walk into the living room and theres no more than six people spread out on the couch or in front of the TV. I told you so Anna.
There's a kid with purple hair sitting on the couch talking to a girl who has dark brown hair like mine but is cut right above her shoulder.
Then there's Calum and Ashton who we've met and another kid who looks a little older sitting by the tv.
"You guys made it! I didn't think you would come since its your first day here and all." Ashton says, nonchalantly checking Anna out.
"Yeah well we decided we could take a little break from unpacking." I say in response.
"Well we are glad you came. You can just sit on the couch and watch them play video games. Or you can grab a controller and play. We are just waiting for someone to arrive then we'll go outback where the fire pit is and stuff." Calum says to us.
Me and Emily sit on the couch next to the purple haired boy.
"Hi im Michael. Or you can call me Mikey if you want. This is Holly, and that guy over there with the MY CONTROLLER is Dylan." The boy with the purple hair says. Me and Anna laugh quietly while he tries to grab his controller back.
They all wave and simultaneously say hey.
"Hi im Olivia, or Liv, and this is Anna. Who all lives here?" I ask.
"Me, Ashton and Calum live in this house. Our friend Luke practically lives here too but he keeps all of his stuff at his moms. He's not here yet but you'll get to meet him tonight."
I hear the name, and even though its not the same Luke, I feel a tear fall from my face. Just hearing his name brings back everything.
