Chapter Fifteen

I let out an ever lasting sigh, trudging out of the awkwardly silent elevator ride, following Steve as he pulled me along to where I was now wanted.

My body cursed me, aching in every bone. From yesterday's training session once I was back to my glass cell, I hadn't moved, from being balled up against the glass, neither had I slept or eaten. And my body defiantly did not thank me.

"In here." Steve halted gesturing to a door to his left. I hastily followed behind. Gulping back the scene.
I was in a lab, Not just any lab but Bruce Banners.
And I was to to be there latest project.

"Oh no, I'm not going in there, I will not be a lab rat!" My voice steady as I held my ground.

"You have no choice, sorry ma'am." Steve took no hesitation in giving me a firm shove and practically dragging me forwards.

Dr Banner typed away furiously concentrating on his work, finally to look up watching the scene unravel. Steve tried at keeping me at bay, yet I thrashed about cursing loudly.

"Just stop and calm down and make this far easier for all of us! You will not become a science project, just think of it as a simple check up." He protested

"I never honoured the doctors." I muttered.

Dr Banner took of his glasses resting them on the table, then to lean against the desk himself.

"Your a fighter, I see." He chuckled, tugging at his patience. I didn't answer only hid deeper behind my hood. Oh, did I not say, I hadn't changed either and defiantly did not, and would not take back my hood to revel my features.

Banner sighed
"Please just take a seat." He bought his hands to the bridge of his nose, shaking his head slightly as his frown lines deepened in frustration.

But me to be the rather stubborn girl I was, refused.

"NightHaze we are not here to hurt you, but to help. We are not your enemies, but only if you make us. You need to see the full picture, we're not the bad guys." Banner wisely explained.
"We are jus-" He abruptly stopped. As I retracted my hand in great pain.

"WHAT THE?" I screamed, starting to thrash out once more, seizing my throbbing hand.
Casually Stark laughed coming out from behind me.
"Your hot when your stubborn, but it was getting annoying." He simply shrugged as he twiddled the needle between his fingers.

"Really Stark?! Now you've just brought us back to square one! Next time please just think!" Bruce sighed in such frustration, as he buried his face into his hands.

"I don't think, I just do." Tony shrugged.

"That's your problem Stark, you never think anything through properly!" Steve bickered, in such frustration.

The bickering continued. As my head suddenly felt rather heavy, my thoughts jumbled as my eye sight blurred and my hearing wavered.

My whole body soon felt to much as I swayed, side to side, I stumbled about tripping over my own feet, I collapsed hitting the ground with a thud, sure to leave a bruise tomorrow.

My dead looking body and sudden fall brought the boys out of there state, as I fell between consciousness.

"WHAT DID YOU GIVE HER?" I flinched as Steve yelled.

"To be honest, I don't really know myself." I heard Tony chuckled at the situation.

"Oh my god." Bruce uttered under his breath, shaking his head, was all I saw till my eyelids suddenly became heavy, closing me in darkness.

I flew through the air, no clue to where to go, but it didn't stop me. I just kept going as the tears streamed down my cheeks. That's when the impact of the day hit me, impacting like a ton of bricks. My farther had returned but not as expected, holding a gun to mother and pulling the deadly trigger. She was gone on a one way trip with no ticket to return. I would never see her dazzling presence beside me again. That all I had loved had now gone. My body was to heavy, to depressed to carry through the air and quickly my body started descending, falling through the air at a quickening pace, but it never sunk in, it never crossed my mind. My body was helpless as my eyelids faded shut.
