I groaned as I rolled over in my bed, sore from my vigorous workout last night. My head pounded in need for an ibuprofen and a large cup of Carmel Macchiato from Starbucks. What I would do for some decent coffee right now...
The soreness in my legs ached as the memories came over in waves. Why is it that a simple treadmill and an Australian boy can effect me this badly. I mentally face palmed for how stupid I was to believe that I could metaphorically 'run' away from my problems on the treadmill.
My small door creaked open as I heard a familiar voice peek through. It was my dad. "URGH." I managed to fumble out of my mouth as I tugged my ever so comfortable blanket over my head. "Well I guess you can sleep in for an hour or two, but be ready for the meeting. " My dad said. I nodded my head, letting out an agreement sound of "Mhm." Before plopping my heavy head back onto my fluffy pillows and letting my eyes flutter closed. It took what seemed like approximately five seconds to remember today's plans, the meeting.
Crap. I forgot about the meeting. I forced myself to take the covers off of me and roll out of my bed that suddenly seemed so comfortable now that I had to get up. I let out a huff as I pulled on my Adidas track pants and a band t-shirt that said 'All Time Low.' I guess today would be another one of those messy bun lazy days. Too bad I don't really mind what others think of me.
I began cracking my knuckles and gave myself a look in the mirror. Tonight I will start to get back onto my sleep cycle by going to bed early.

CALUM;
I watch as she strides into the mess hall. Bore in sweatpants and a band shirt, she still looks like she just walked off of the red carpet. To this day, I don't know another person as strong as she is. I mean, she lost her sister! If Mali-Koa were ever to go missing, I don't know what I would do without her. It may not always show, but my sister and I are close when need be. My thoughts are interrupted when she catches my eye and they stay locked for a few seconds. The corners of her mouth turn up into a welcoming smile, and she has me full on grinning in a millisecond.
I don't know if I like her or not, I mean of course I do, any guy would and they most likely do, but this is a different situation than passing notes during Algebra class, or walking together to our lunch period. The entire country is living like we are, actually they are probably much worse out there. If we were to date, it wouldn't even be dating. I've already fallen hard for Carter and there's nothing else I can do to stop it. I silently make a promise to myself to keep Carter safe.

I walk in and plop down beside Calum. "Morning Sunshine." He says in a scratchy voice. "Morning." I manage to say. Words cannot describe how completely exhausted I am this morning.
I scarf down my meal of sausage, biscuits, and gravy, and tell my friends that I will see them around noon for the meeting.
If I don't hurry up and get back to my bed, I'm not sure that I will be able to even walk anymore. I walk as fast as I can with my sore muscles, and plop back into my bed. My eyelids flutter a few times before going completely shut and I let all of my stress drain into my sleep.
