Finally, 7th hour, 10 minutes till the bell rings! Lizzy focus! We need to get this math sheet done before monday. My thoughts were racing thinking, but a large portion of my brain tried to get re-focused. DING DING!!!! Rang the bell. I gathered my stuff and headed out of the school. It was 80° and sunny with a few clouds to provide some nice shade. Suddenly someone ran passed me, nearly knocking me down!

"Hey! Watch where you are going!" I yelled at the unknown person. A few seconds later, I noticed he had dropped one of his books. I picked it up, Karl Joke, I could only read the author's name, the title was weird and scratched out. It was huge and blank! Oh no! What if he was writing this book... and he dropped it. I have to get it back to him. I started to run the way Karl went. I slowed to a stop at the corner, Where did he go?

"HOW DARE YOU ESCAPE ME!" Something roared. Oh God... What was that? I looked to my right, and down the street there was Karl and a... A THING! My heart froze! The thing was massive! And it was attacking Karl! Not good... Not good at all.

"Sssir! Thisss one hasss the book!" Something hissed... and it was behind me! It looked to be a snake with lizard arms and weapons?

"What?!" The massive troll monster thing that had been attacking Karl looked at me, so did Karl. "You got yourself an apprentice?!" It yelled. "GET THAT BOOK! AND THE GIRL!" Cheezits! What do I do?

"KID RUN!" Karl yelled. Ok! You don't have to tell me twice! I am just a fast runner! Not a fighter... Oh god... I REGRET PICKING THIS BOOK UP!! I turned to my left and hightailed it! Being in track was the best idea I had. But my heart was beating faster than a hummingbird's heartbeat! I took a look behind me, the naga thing and troll were far behind me. I stopped to breath... and panic. What the flipping giblets is in this book? Why do they want it so badly?

      "You run very fast kid."

"OH MY GOD!" I nearly jumped out of my skin! But it was just Karl! My heart was going way too fast... then just stopped for a second.

"You ok? I didn't mean to scare you." Ughhhh my heart... I was super stressed out.

"Here's your dang book." I handed it to him... But it was stuck to my hand? "What?" I turned my hand upside down and shook the book... "Ummm... Why is it doing this?" Karl's eyes lit up! This whole situation is freaking me out!

"Open a page and read what is on it. Please." He asked.

"Maeb ot loohcs? None of this makes sense this thing was blank a few minutes ago," I looked up, and we were at my school! WHAT?! Karl smiled.

"If you don't mind following me, I will explain everything that has happened today." I really needed an explanation, so I nodded. Walking for 10 minutes we come across his house... A massive creepy victorian house... As we walked up the porch the door slowly swung open... YEP. CREEPY. OLD. HAUNTED. PLACE. I turned around and saw the troll at the bottom of the gate. He just glared...

"Can he get in?" Karl shook his head. We went inside, "Can I get an explanation now?!"

"Yes. Now do you know what that book is?" I shook my head. "Of course you don't, it's not from here. It's a Dragon's Spellbook!"

"AND THAT'S A GOOD THING?!" Great! Now I have some random dragon pissed off at me for having its book!

"Yes. Look at it." I looked down at the book. IT. GREW. A. FACE! I threw the book in terror... But it reformed in my hands. "Don't worry! Just set it down!" Karl was trying to calm me down... I set the book on the floor and hide behind a chair. It grew legs. THE BOOK GREW LITTLE DRAGON LEGS, AND A TAIL! It... was... starting to look... adorable?

"I have never seen it do that in my life." Karl said stepping back.

"It's your book! And its never done this?!"

"I can't read the Dragon language. Not like half-breeds." I looked at him, "You don't know what that means... Sorry. Uh... Half-breeds are half dragon, half other creature. You are half dragon, half human if I am guessing right."

"Uhh... What? Dragons aren't real," I replied.

"Here they don't exist. But my home, and where the Amazon Ogre and his Scarlet Monster come from. They do."

"The troll thing and the snake?" Karl nodded. The book was sitting on the floor in front of me, so I reached out and petted it, it started to purr?

BOOM CRASH!! "The gate!" Karl freaked! "They... can't its monster proof! Quickly through here." He opened a blue-purple swirly door, Oooohhh pretty. He motioned me to go through the door. Where I ended up would confuse anyone. Imagine literally going down the rabbit hole and ending up in Wonderland.

A week in the wonder world passed, and Karl taught me a lot of things about my little dragon book. When we went back through the portal I was a dragon master! Now I fight monsters by conjuring my own, and nothing scares me... That's a lie...
