When I Was Me

When I was me,

Nobody wanted to be my friend,

Simply because I wasn't like them.

I was different,

And when they said it, they meant it.

I was left alone,

For my true personality had shone.

So I had to hide it,

Where I knew the light wouldn't find it.

Just so I could be someone new,

In order to be viewed as someone "Normal".

But what is "normal"?

Is it what everyone says, sees, hears?

Is it what everyone wants to say, see, hear?

No. The truth is, that when you're human, there is no such thing as "normal".

Don't be afraid to be yourself. Honesty is always the best policy. Even in personality.

Please vote, comment, become a fan; whatever floats your boat. I would love some feedback on this one because I am trying something new here. Thanks!
