"what do you want 2?" i questioned. "just enjoying the view, and i had a question for you" he said with a smug smile on his face. "shoot" he looked at me and shook his head. "i want you 12, i want you to join the careers". my jaw literal drooped but i quickly replied with a "yes, i will join you, but why do you want someone like me in the alliance?". he took a deep breath. 'this should be good' i thought. "i've seen you in training and i feel this need to protected you. what you did for your sister was really something Katniss. i feel like i have an urge to make sure that it is you that comes out of this arena." he bowed his head and chuckled a bit. i felt my hart race as i looked at him, his broad shoulders and muscles flexed as he took a deep breath and continued "and i think i might be falling for you." my hand found its way to his cheek and i rubbed my thumb over it as i smiled at him. " i think I'm falling for you too". A smile played on his lips and with that his lips crashed to mine. at first i didn't responded as i was in total shock, but i found myself responding. After a while we broke for air. he rested his forehead against mine and we both started laughing. "were in the hunger games and i think i have just found the woman of my dreams, how ironic." a sad smile came across his face looked at our intwined hands. " i love you cato." he cuped my face in his hands. " i love you too." he kissed me gently then we pulled away. we found our way back to the elevator hands still entwined. the elevator stoped at my level first and i pulled his hans signaling for him to come with me. He obliged with a smile.
we found my room and the bed and we lay silently enjoying the silance. my head rested on his chest listing to his heartbeat with one arm wraped aroung my sholeders and the other resting on my waist and that is how we fell asleep that night.
