Cast Out To Sea 1

She sat there, a dull expression mixed with boredom. She tasted salt against her bitter and rough tongue, she smelt the fresh sea. Although she was surrounded by water, she couldn't drink it. It was seawater. Goodness knows what's been in there. But she still just sat there. Not knowing what to do. The ship's floorboards creaked whilst her loose hazel brown locks tumbled past her small hunched shoulders. She finally blinked ; grabbed the pocket knife beside her and tallied the 298th day being cast out into the ocean. It was an everyday experience. Her heart beaten faster. So fast she felt out and reached for her face. She rest her head in her hands and sobbed. The tears not gently trickling down her cheeks, but spouting out of her soft topaz eyes as if it was a water fountain.

"WHY?!" She shrieked hysterically.
"WHY?!" She repeated endlessly until at last, she curled up on the dirty ship floorboards and slept out of grief and exhaustion.
