"You cannot possibly be serious." The way his perfectly shaped eyebrows pulled close together made me smile. His perfection is beyond this world, it made me jealous. I tilted my head to the side and looked him from top to bottom.

"And why can't I be?" My voice was soft, whispered. I had difficulty breathing, he was just so perfect, everything about him. His face softened and his olive green eyes stared fixated onto my sapphire blue ones. There was a ghost of a smile and he reached out for my hand.

"Completely not fair." He murmured under his breath. His cold hand held mine which was much smaller. He traced a finger across my skin. He was being so gentle, it touched me inside, my heart constricted. Is this what everyone had been on about? Did they receive butterflies and did their hearts speed up every time? It was exhilarating, being around him, being this close to him.

"Completely fair." His lips twitched at the corners and he pulled me to him giving a soft sigh. We swayed to the invisible music. There was no sound, not even the rustling of leaves which were right beyond the cave, only my breathing echoed around us, my heart beat rang out. He held me tightly, but not enough to kill me. My erratic heart beat made me flush, I knew he could hear it. I felt his head on my hair and he inhaled so deeply as though I was the very air he needed, I closed my eyes and enjoyed this moment. I pressed my ear into his chest, not one sound. I couldn't hear a thing, no sound of the heart which should reside there.

"So, it's true then?" I didn't really want to know, I wasn't exactly sure why.

"Yes," we stopped moving and suddenly he was behind me, his breath on my neck and willingly I tilted my head back." Why aren't you running? " He sounded frustrated and confused. I turned slowly.

"Should I be?" I blinked up at him, his eyes darker now, heated. He lifted one hand and lightly touched my cheek.

"Yes."

"Do you want me to run?" I looked up at him and he hesitated.

"No." I smiled, of course he didn't, his eyes told me so.

"Good."
