"Where the heck have you been young lady?" My mums questions started as soon as I opened the door.

"You think you can go out until this time on a school night? Don't expect me to wake you up in the morning." I walk up the stairs to my room and mumble a meek "sorry" as I pass her. I'm too tired to eat anything, even though I'm starving; I had supper at 6:30 and I haven't eaten anything since. I'm probably dehydrated too, my head is spinning violently and I'm so glad to crash into my bed.

I wake up to the sound of crashing downstairs. Assuming it's my mum or sister, I doze back into sleep for a few minutes. Suddenly I hear Lucy yelling at me, "Wake up! WAKE UP!" I manage to cover my ears with a pillow before she yanks me off the bed. She's 8 years old, I have no idea how she managed to do that! Anyway, I pick myself off the floor and make my way to the bathroom.
My body feels like its been run over by like seven trucks, but somehow I make it to the bathroom. As my bath is running, I examine the deep circles underneath my eyes; why do I took like a zombie every morning? I stick my toe in the bathtub checking the temperature of the water, and I squeal and jump back when it hits the surface. Great! The water is freezing, and if I don't get washed within the next 7 minutes, my bus is going to leave without me.
I gather my courage and strip down to my knickers, get yourself together, Julia, it's only water. Lucy is pounding on the door, yelling at me to hurry, so I quickly remove my underwear and jump in.

"Get moving, J, the bus is just round the corner!" Mum is waiting by the counter with a fiver. She hands it to me as I rush out the door while stuffing my textbooks into my bag at the same time.

"Get yourself a meal deal for lunch," she calls out after me, "and some snacks for tea later!" Barely making it, I hop onto the bus and wave at mum as we drive away. I'm so tired from barely sleeping last night, but I am buzzing to see my friends and to plan my next task on the list.
