My life is complex. My father was adopted to this elderly couple. He was found abandoned in front of a library. They think he was but three months old. Dad became this famous MMA fighter and he had gone to the Olympics three times. He mastered nine different forms of martial arts. He won gold every time. Sadly, I did not have enough time with my father but is forever long enough? A drunk driver killed him when I was 12.

Dad met my mother when he was taken to the hospital for a broken leg. My mother was his nurse. Dad heals fast and when he was out, he eventually charmed her into having coffee with him. Coffee turned into actual dates and them married. Mom did not know about the MMA until they were dating. She treated Dad like a normal person.

Here is where my life gets tricky, my mother is a witch. No, not a Wiccan but an actual witch. She can hex, duel, transfigure. She went to The Magical Academy Of The Pacific. It's in Hawaii. Everyone on mom's side of the family are witches and wizards. I take after her in witchcraft. I also went to her school. Dad thought mom was joking when she told him but nearly fainted when he saw her perform magic.

I am also my father's daughter. I love fighting but I never pick them. Dad taught me everything he knew from the time I could walk. He never wanted me defenseless. It came in handy when I was five. I was rollerblading in the driveway at a friend's house. My friends Tori and I were playing roller hockey in the driveway. Torri headed into the garage to take off her skates and I was right behind her.

I heard a man say "You are coming with me princess."

That was when I knew I had to get away. Dad joked that my punches were harder than most adults even when I was little. I managed to punch his collar bone and he let me go and howled in pain. The police were called and my mom came running when she found out.

"Cyra, are you ok? I called your father at the gym. He will meet us back at the house. Believe me, he is having a conniption. The officer told me you the guy's collar bone. Good job."

Dad was furious; not at me but Tori's parents. Tori's parents were not watching and just relaxing and having wine while watching TV. I was never allowed over there again. Dad upped my martial arts training from there because he wanted to make absolutely sure I am safe.

Now; if you ask me where I grew up, it's in Honolulu. October 31, 2024 was the day that the world stood still in the MMA world. My father, Dragomir Rachov "the dragon" was dead at 35. Dad was the greatest fighter they have ever seen. He won every match.

Cyra Rachov, that's me has left behind large gloves to fill. Dad's past was going to come crashing down to Earth when I was 19. It would be on the seventh anniversary of his death, the exact date when I would meet my uncle. My father is not even from this world.
