Fili could barely keep his eyes open. He was wrapped in a blanket, keeping watch over his fitfully sleeping younger brother. A touch startled him partially awake. It was his uncle.
"Go to bed, Fili. You need your rest too."
"But Thorin, if I was quicker or better with a bow or something, I could have save Kili."
Thorin looked at his older nephew.
"You did the best you could."
Fili still looked unconvinced.
"Here, I know something that will cheer you up. We're going to retake Erebor."
Fili's eyes gleamed. "When?"
"We'll start the journey in a month. Plenty of time for Kili to heal. Now, you are going to bed." The last part was punctuated by Fili's yawn. After getting a promise from Thorin that he would sit wit Kili, Fili trotted off to bed, dreams of gold filling his mind.

*Alright should I continue this one and do the journey from Fili's point of view or should I skip to the end in a new book, maybe where only Kili survives? What do you all think? Please comment!*
