It's 2 in the morning and here I am puffing my 4th cigarette when "Bed Peace" by Jhené Aiko played in my iPod.

SH*T.

Thought of that bast*rd again.

Naiyak na naman ako kasi tang in* naman, bakit naisip pa.

Almost 6 months na since we broke up but I still cannot accept the fact na ipinagpalit niya ako sa isang college student. I mean, come on! I gave all the best that I could to him pero hindi pa rin ako enough? Bakit ba? Ano bang meron sa studyanteng yun?

I sacrificed a lot for that relationship but what did he do? Sinayang at itinapon niya lang lahat. Kahit nga proper closure man lang, hindi niya pa nagawa. Tang in* bes. Ganoon na ba ako ka-"not good enough" para hindi tratuhin ng maayos? Tang in* lang talaga.

I put off my cigarette, put it in the ashtray and cried myself to sleep.

Nagising ako sa ringing ng phone ko.

I checked the time. It's 10:18 in the morning. Ugh, it's still early! Sino ba 'tong tumatawag?

I decided to answer it.

F*ck this.

"Grabe naman Ivory! Alas dyes na ng umaga oh. Tulog ka pa?!"

Devon's voice deafened my ear. Well, if you'd ask me kung bakit ang kapal niyang gisingin ako is because this guy right here is my best friend. Actually, we've been friends since we were in grade school and I swear to God never akong na-attract sa lalaking 'to.

I mean, I don't know. It's not that he isn't good looking or his personality sucks. Actually he's very handsome and I must say, a gentleman. He's American but he was born here in the Philippines since Filipina naman yung mom niya. He has the typical American guy look - blue eyes, blonde hair, some beard and a tattoo on his right arm. He dresses good and he's into music.

Actually he’s really handsome. *gulp*

A lot of my girl friends tell me that when Devon looks at me, parang iba lang talaga. They see sparkles and unicorns and rainbows everywhere. No, I'm not kidding. They actually said na his eyes would twinkle whenever he looks at me. But I really don't see it. Maybe sanay na ako by the way he looks at me pero hindi talaga eh. I mean, nafe-feel ko naman, even before, na iba yung pag-tingin niya sa akin but.... we're just friends, right?

"Yes, tulog pa ako. Kanina. Nung hindi mo pa ako dinistorbo. What do you want?"

"Bumangon ka na kasi. Anyway, may party nga pala tayong dadaluhan mamayang 7 PM."

"Yeah, I know. So?"

"Wala lang. I just want to remind you in case makalimutan mo."

"Seriously? Dude, I slept at almost 3AM and I'm still f*cking sleepy, and you come calling me just to remind me of that? Seryoso ka ba talaga sa buhay mo Devon?"

"Oh wow.. You sounded like you don't need me at all."

"What the hell, come on! It's not that. You're really doing this now noh? Grabe ka!"
