Winter

Laval

Chapter one

Laval was excited. He was going to spend a whole weekend at a cabin in the middle of the woods. location: middle of nowhere. He needed the isolation. He had been spending too much time in his room and needed a week to hang out with his friends. His father had a cabin up near spiral mountain, so he thought why not? it was perfect size for 7 people. Me, Cragger, Eris, Worriz, Gorzan, Bladvic, and Rogon. Razar couldn't make it because of a wing injury. Laval was waiting for the rest of his friends in front of the lion temple. It took a while for all of his friends to gather up. The all had to travel from a long way away. But finally, 5 of his friends had arrived all together on their speedorz. all of them except Worriz.

"What's up guys?" Laval asked in a lively tone. The group responded with an assortment of whoops and cheers. This was too good. The waited for worriz for what seemed like hours, keeping up conversation to make the time go by quicker. Worriz finally arrived a little past seven in a wolf tank. He had a smirk on his face. the usual.

"What took you so long?, my tail is freezing off!" Cragger groaned.

"I had some things to take care of in the tribe. you know, like what tribe leaders are supposed to do." Worriz replied.

"What is the point of bringing that huge thing?" laval asked. Worriz gave him a smirk. Again with the smirking.

"You can never be too careful, plus I thought we all could load all of our things in the tank." Worriz said.

"Good thinking" Gorzan replied as he threw his bag in the back of worriz's massive vehicle. The rest of the group followed suit. Tossing their things for the week in the back. And to no one's surprise. It fit.

"Lets hit the road" Laval shouted enthusiastically. Everyone cheered and got into their vehicles. Laval Took the lead since he knew where he was going.

The drive took a while, about three hours. But finally the group made it. They all parked their vehicles in front of the cabin. From a distance it looked huge. And up close, it looked enormous. The forest was quiet. The ground was covered in pearly white snow. The only sound was the occasional rush of snow falling off tree branches. Laval took a deep breath. Taking in the beautiful scenery. He closed his eyes. This was was going to be the best week ever, a winter wonderland. Almost to good to be true. The group gathered in front of the cabin, all doing the same, taking in the nature.

"Nice place you have here Laval!" Rogon exclaimed.

"Thank you Rogo-" Laval began before he was interrupted be Worriz.

"Isn't his place always locked when you're gone?" Worriz asked. Everyone looked at him. And then to the door.

"Yeah, that's kind of weird" Bladvic agreed. Laval stepped forward to inspect the door more closely. the lock was busted and the door was cracked open. Laval was worried. He turned around to the group and spoke.

"We are going to need a group of three people to look around inside, to see if anyone broke in." Laval said. "If you want to raise your hand." The group of friends were hesitant at first. But hand eventually started to come up, one by one. Worriz's hand came up first. Then Cragger and Bladvic followed suit. the small group entered the house one by one. Worriz first. He pushed the door open slowly, causing it to creak loudly. Worriz gulped, He stuck his head through the door cautiously, and stepped in. The rest of the group followed.

"Cragger and I will have the upstairs, Worriz will have the main level, and Bladvic will have the basement, if that's okay with you of course" Laval addressed. The group nodded their heads in agreement.

Bladvic

"Why was I given this job?" Bladvic mumbled. What a joke, did he really have to do this? Something was down here, and he knew it. But it was his stupid fault, he was the one who shook his head and agreed to it. Bladvic knew that if he turned back now he would look like a baby in front of his friends. Bladvic approached the door with caution, he held his breath and opened the door. What he saw was overwhelming darkness. Ready to engulf him in a moments notice. "What was he getting himself into?" He thought as he stepped into what he feared most. Darkness.

It was as dark as what he would have imagined. Cold and dark. Dladvic let out a shaky breath. Don't be a baby, it's just darkness. That was the problem through. He had been afraid of darkness ever since he could remember. And the thought of not being able to see what was lurking in the unknown made him shiver. Bladvic willed himself onward. He peaked around corners. Trying to find what had broken in. This place was a maze, how could a basement be so big? It was like a whole nother house underneath. After a while of looking with only a flashlight to fend off the mass of darkness, he figured that that was good enough. He started walking back. The only noise was the sound of his own footsteps and his ragged breathing. But the silence was soon cut off by the sound of a girl sobbing for help, her echos bouncing off the walls which added to the creepy mood of the place. He then realized that the girl was Eris.

"I'm coming Eris! hold on!" Bladvic shouted. He followed the dreadful crying and shouting. Using the voice to navigate the dark maze. He followed the crying into a dark room.

"I'm here Eris, i'm here to help you-" Bladvic was cut off after he shined the flashlight on what he thought at first was Eris. But it was anything but. Bladvic stood open mouthed at the tall creature.

"You found me Bladvic! you found me!" The creature said in Eris's voice. Before Bladvic could turn and run, the heavy door slammed behind him and locked.

"Somebody please help me!" he shouted. But it was no use. The creature showed amazing strength as it grabbed the bear and held him into the air. Bladvic continued screaming, but he was cut short as the creature shoved a long hand with sharp nails down the helpless bears throat. Bladvic struggled, he could feel the creature's hand down in his internal organs. Bladvic groaned as the creature ripped out bladvic's intestines through the bear's mouth. Bladvic went limp, his eyes and mouth filled with blood.

"Thank you Bladvic, thank you!" the creature said in Eris's voice as it walked away, dragging the bear behind it. leaving a trail of blood.
