There was once a very violent place, a place that was once loud and boisterous, but now is silent. When I say there was once, i meant, it was like that a few days ago. Stood there was Me and My friend. My name is SlitterSling, Otherwise known as Topaz or my real name, Tegan. My friend, her name is Atomic, She will explode with anger at anytime, shes a nice girl really, her name is Ella. Okay but, We won the Battle, we did deserve it. Anyway, this is what happened, I believe it was a miracle.
Chapter 1
We were chosen
We were stood in the Capitol of Panem, fingers crossed praying to God we wouldn't be chosen, but then all of a sudden "Tegan Griffiths! Are you present? Please step foward!" I knew I had no option but to answer "Yes I am here." I stepped forward, now i prayed that Ella would be chosen to, her sister, Violet, got picked out the crowd. Strongly she said "I VOLENTEER AS TRIBUTE!" The crowd gasped. Then, the guards took me and her away. Just as we where leaving, I saw my brother in the audience, he was crying for me and shouting my name, I mouthed to him "Be strong, I can win this." He wiped his tears and wished me luck as we were lead to the Cornercopia. Me and Atomic were so very tearful as we saw all our friends stood around us, how could we kill loved ones? When we heard the sound telling us to grab a weapon and make a run for it, I automatically thought, 'Slingshot.' and thats how I got my name. I picked up the penknives and the slingshot and stabbed my enemy Lucas (Otherwise known as Ruthless,) and he was left limping and then i finished him off by bashing him on the head with a rock, leaving his body full of cuts, and in a pool of blood. Next, I jumped over the river and climbed fiercley up the tree I chose my target and watched my knife as it went straight into his kneck. Then, I jumped down the tree and slit open his kneck and said "You got into this mess, and got the hard way out, sorry."Then sprinted away so nobody was to see me...
