My name is Saturn Elizabeth Matthews, and a lot of people misunderstand me and my family. I wanted to set some things straight.
One: I'll be frank, as long as you keep my secret a... well, secret. I'm a vampire. My dad comes from a long line of them, and when he met my mom, he knew she was the one. No, this isn't a Twilight-type story. But my dad told my mom what he really was, and she accepted him. She agreed to let him bite her on their wedding day. Since both of my parents are now vampires, I'm one by blood. Get it? I know, I'm not funny.
Two: I just don't suck the blood of anyone I can get my cold, undead hands on. I'm not heartless like you might assume. I volunteer at a hospital, so I sneak into the morgue and grab a bite. It sounds gross, I know, biting a dead person's neck. But I'd rather do that then have to hunt and hurt people who have their entire life ahead of them.
And three (possibly the most important part): I'm not a freak. The girls at my school might say so, but they never bothered to get to know me, so how would they know what I'm like? I don't chase them- they run away from me. It's their choice in the end, not mine.
I don't care what they think. And I don't care what you think either. Just listen to my story and hear me out.
