A flash of bright light blinds my eyes, and having paper being thrown at me, it covers my face entirely. Something large flies in my room, but I can barely make it out. All of a sudden it speaks

“so I see you we're crying, Heather what's wrong?"

I hate it when my father does that, he always flies in my room when I least expect it!  He wasn't any ordinary father, he had wings. They were always great to look at, they were white. I could tell why my mom fell in love with him, in the first place.

He had this smile that always turned every frown upside down. His teeth are as white as snow, they were perfectly a lined, and every tooth was intact. How can my mom leave a man like my father? Another secret untold. Weird?

  "Did you miss me?"

Suddenly I was filled with joy, I loved spending time with my father, but he lived all the way in New York. I wasn't too in the bright light, and the congested roads filled with people. I keep wondering why this always happens, but as my father always says,

" it's destiny."

I always wondered what he meant by that? As I tried to clear my head from thought, I ran to him and hugged him.

“So how've been?"

"Same old I guess—

" your mother tells me that you got accepted to........um the special program"

The specialized programs are for losers, who have no knowledge of the outside world.  All these thoughts piling up, it's so hard to bear. Having to deal with the secret, and my reputation being completely destroyed at Lawson high. Just for being in an idiotic program.

"Heather, stop filling your head with so many thoughts, everything's gonna be ok!"

Wait..... How the hell did he know what I was thinking, I guess he finally developed the power of “reading thoughts."

" Earth to Heather....hello"

" sorry dad I was just—

" thinking as usually, your mother said that you were always special, you are more stronger than me in power.

What does he mean stronger than him, what the— the man has flippin' wings and, he can read minds? Oh ... Wait he's reading my mind again. Ugh why can't I shut up, wait I'm not even speaking.

" Heather,  I don't only have the power of reading minds and flying I can also—"

"Let me guess, you can summon an angel army, and do some crazy thing with your eyes that makes you kill anything in your sight—"

"Actually I can, and I can also do more than you can ever imagined.

My eyes balls almost popped out of my eye lids, ever since my dad told me about him being half angel and half man, my life has changed. He crouches beside me, as I make space for him to sit.  He looks at me for a few seconds trying to go deep into my thoughts. It's so weird, he does it and I can't stop him.

Suddenly my dad breaks the awkward silence.

“Wow! that was weird!"

I instantly look at him and he has confused written all over his face.

 " Dad, what happened?"

" You blocked me from reading your thoughts."

We both sit there, as he looks over at me all shocked. That's so cool! I watch him as he struggles to try again, but fails. We sit here for hours, and then he finally gives up.

As he struggles to read my mind, I can't help but laugh. Suddenly we burst out laughing, he laughs so hard to the point where his face turns into a splitting image of Barney.

I thought he was drunk when he started to sing the chorus of "Santa Claus is coming to town." Oh how I missed my dad!
