Phils POV
"Hi Dan" I mumbled trying to not blush. "Hey" Dan mumbled back. He would have punched me if his mum wasn't around. I have to live with the Howells because my mum is in Australia for some project and my dad left my family when my mum was pregnant with me so I never met him. I'm in love with Dan too. We used to be best mates until we were 14 and everything changed. I also fell in love with Dan that year to. Now were 17. My life is hell now because of him and his friends. Why do I even like Dan if he hurts me? It doesn't help that I'm forced to live with him and his family. His mum and dad are nice. There like family. I've known them forever. Jen (Mrs Howell) is my mum's best friend.
Time to go to school. YAY! ~note the sarcasum~ I walked in and was punched in the back. "Good mourning fag" Brenden said before kicking me to the ground. A crowd formed and they all started laughing. Then Dan walked up to me and kicked me too. "Emo fags like you shouldn't exist " Dan stated. I wish I could just disapear from this world. It's what everyone wants anyway. I don't commit because that would mean they won. "TEACHER" a guy screamed and they all left.

I walked upstairs and into my room. I oppened up a shoebox and looked through its items. It was the best mates box that me and Dan made when we were 6. I took out a little note in it and smiled at the memory.
FLASHBACK
"Phily" Dan said to me smiling. "Yes Danny" I replied. "Lets make a promise" he said. "What kind of promise?" I asked. "That we are going to be best friends forever" Dan exclaimed. "OK!" I agread. We had my mum write out the promise and we signed it.
END OF FLASHBACK
We were so young and clueless then. I emptied the rest of it and it consisted of a bunch of pictures, lilte wooden swords that we used to play with, drawings, and a bunch of other memories. I felt like crying. Why can't we still be firends?
Dan's POV
"Why does my family have to take that fag, Phi anyways? I can't believe I was ever friends with him" I told Brenden my best mate. "I feel so bad for you man. At least you have more chances to punish him" Brenden replied. "I guess" I mumbled. "Hey don't feel bad, its not your fault. Hey, look at Maddie. Shes practically undressing you with her eyes" Brenden told me. Maddie was this really popular girl who every guy seemed to like. I wasn't that in to her, but I went up to her anyways. If we get together I'll get even more popular. "Hey Mad" I said to her. "Hi Dan" Maddie said to me while batting her eyes at me. "She looks like she had something stuck in her eye" I thought. I could tell that Maddie was drunk.
Maddie kept trying to kiss me, but I'm not really intrested. I wouldn't dare turn her down. I could be the new Phil! Just make me disapear. Ugh.
