There is going to be a couple time skips, so don't get confused if it says a few weeks or something similar to that.

Bella's POV

I spent four months looking outside or at the corner of the room. I just didn't see why I did.

I have been alone for the better part of 300 years. Spending time with a few friends every now and then. But this hurts more.

I thought they were never going to leave me since they were vampires, like me. Well, the failed version of vampires.

If I had actually been human, the Volturi would kill me. Luckily for me, Cauis is an old friend. The Volturi were family, but I couldn't stay with them. They wanted power. They wanted control over all supernatural.

"Bells" Charlie knocked on the door.

"Look I know that the vamps left you, but you are strong."

I smiled. It felt wrong to lie to Charlie after the Cullen's left. So I stopped compelling him and told him the truth. I was overjoyed that he didn't kick me out, but instead told me that I was still his daughter.

"I know it hurts, but you need to try to move on so you can start moving on. There are people here that care about you, and you didn't even compel them."

The more I thought about the more I realized he was right. I had only compelled my stay. I had actually made friends by myself. Angela, Jacob, Ben. I could name so many people that I had had befriended or visa versa.

"I'll try." I cut off Charlie. He was starting to get red as he explained into deeper perspective. "Thank you, dad. There aren't many people who are this understanding." I hugged him.

I then slipped out of bed and stepped into the shower.

After changing I went to my truck and drove to La Push. I hadn't seen Jacob since before Edward left.

I knocked on the door for a minute before he answered.

"Bella!" He scooped me up and spun me around. I laughed lightly as he twirled around. "Are you okay? I swear when I see those Cullen's I'll kill them!"

I internally laughed at his threat. "Do you think we can go for a walk?" He nodded and we walked on the beach. As we went further along the beach I smelled a wet dog. I coughed. Jesus! They stank. Regular werewolves didn't smell that bad. They must be shifters.

We talked about different things. I then asked him if he would like to fix up some old bikes. I had bought them on the way here.

Weeks passed by and I think I've been falling for Jacob. He's been a good friend, and very supportive about my break up. But he's been smelling like the shifters recently. I wonder if he is a shifter or if he's hanging out with them.

I didn't think prying in his life would do anything for me. Anyways today is the day we're taking the bikes for a test drive.

"Okay. Let's do this." I climbed on the motorcycle.

"You look scared." Jake said.

"Do not!" I laughed. He pointed out all the things that I was supposed to do. His hand brushed against mine and I tried not to show anything. I slowly let go of the clutch and it lunge forward. I tried again, succeeding this time. After ten yards I saw something that made my blood run cold. Edward.

But then he was gone. Then he was there again. I pressed the brake and it skid to a stop, throwing me off.

"Bella!" Jake was next to me almost immediately after I flew of the motorcycle.
