I'm extremely sorry for not posting for a long time! >_< 6 freaking months! Please forgive me! I have decided that I WILL finish this story. Thanks to my friend who kept on urging me to write it, I did. Inspired after playing a freaky game called Amnesia: A dark descent. That game gives me the creeps xD But I love it! And sorry my writing is crappy here. T_T I need to practise again! Once again, thanks to those of you who read The Mansion. Enjoy!

"A-Alex?" I exclaimed in utmost astonishment. "Y-you're…you're…"

I felt so much different emotions at once—relief, surprise and guilt. But I stopped my mindless blabbering the moment he put his index fingers to his lips. His piercing eyes warned me of the situation we were in because I felt shivers run down my spine. A sudden animalistic growl erupted from behind me. Instinctively, Alex grabbed my arm, hoisted me to my feet and broke into a run.

Even though my legs started to hurt and my lungs burned for air, I never stopped for a single breath. We took sharp turns in every corner but we didn't even risk a glance behind us. After a few minutes, Alex finally slowed down to a jog and it was then that I realized my head was pounding.

Noticing this, he looked back at me. His hazel orbs displayed a hint of concern. I nodded my head to assure him that I was alright even though it was quite the opposite. His head whipped around as his eyes darted around the dim corridor. A few seconds passed after he supposedly made sure that we were safe, he walked over to a wall and ran his hands over its dusty surface. He continued this act until he found an unnoticeable crack, dug his fingers into it and tugged at it with stupendous force.

The hidden door creaked open and fell of its hinges sending dust to fly everywhere. Glancing back at me, he beckoned to come closer. Pointing my flashlight at the opening, I poked my head inside. What I saw inside was a completely different corridor.

The first thing I saw was the deep scratch marks that covered the walls. Overturned couches, tables with legs broken off and crumbled paper were all over the place. We cautiously made our way through the wreckage and occasionally jolting up when we heard a footstep. My eyes kept darting towards the opening behind me, fearing that by the time I turn to look again, there might be something standing there. The doors in this corridor were open like ravenous mouths awaiting an unsuspecting victim to set foot into its trap.

Stay close to me," Alex whispered when he saw me staring at the door.

"What happened to this place?" I asked out of curiosity.

"She was searching something…" answered Alex and relapsed into silence.

I didn't question him any further because the place seemed to be draining me of my own confidence and courage, replacing the void with nothing but a cold sense of newfound terror. A sudden urge to escape this sinister place welled up deep inside me. I sensed that Alex felt the same for he started moving evidently faster.

From the corner of my eye, I noticed a figure shift slightly. On an impulse, I spun around and focused my eyes on one of the rooms. Maybe it was my vision playing tricks in the dark or maybe something really was there. Slightly troubled, I paced along Alex quicker than before, wanting to get out—fast.

Genessa!

My body jerked in surprise at the unexpected whisper.

Get out of there!

I tugged frantically at Alex's shirt.

"We must get of here!"

Quick!
