The damp grass beneath her feet
Makes her want to run
She can see the lightning flash
With thunder sure to come
.
She looks around and sees
She is truly alone
People are whisks of wind
No place feels like home
.
Her feet plead her to go
With no destination in mind
She runs away aimlessly
She leaves everything behind
.
Her eyes are smeared with water
Heavy is her breathing
She tried so hard to fix it
But nothing she did was pleasing
.
Finally she meets the edge
She searches all around
But she is not alone this time
Green eyes stare her down
.
She glances at the bottom
As he shakes his head
He reaches out for her
And this is what he said:

"Take a deep breath and think
Is this really what you need?
There are other solutions, miss
Don't you dare make that leap."
.
She says nothing but only stares
Green eyes pleads a little longer
She takes a step away from the edge
She's beginning to get stronger
.
"Don't do this" he tells her
"You're not alone anymore
I will stay by your side,
I'll give you something to live for"
.
She stretches out her arms
As the wind breezes by
She jumps right off the edge
Falling through the damp sky
.
Everyone that said they'd stay
Would always finish with goodbye
He'd leave like all the others
"So long, green eyes"
