I found myself dreaming in silver and gold...
"You...Lucy Heartfilia!" Future Rogue shouted. He then shot a dagger made out of shadows towards Lucy.
"Lucy!" Natsu yelled.
Natsu tried to stop the dagger before it hit Lucy, but he was too late. The dagger was heading straight for Lucy's heart. 'If that dagger hits her she'll die instantly.' Natsu thought.
Future Lucy then jumped in front of present Lucy. The dagger then pierced Future Lucy's side. She fell to the castle floor with a loud thud.
Like a scene from a movie that every broken heart knows...
Natsu felt his part of his heart shatter. He watched Future Lucy die right before his eyes. ' That could've been her..' Natsu thought. ' That could've been my Lucy.'
We were walking on moonlight and you pulled me close...
[After Natsu lost against Future Rogue]
Ultear and Meldy both pulled Natsu out of the shadows. Meldy tried to wake up the unconscious Natsu, while Ultear tore some cloth to wrap Natsu's wound. Ultear gently tended Natsu's wounds. He eventually woke up.
Natsu then stood up and slowly walked towards Lucy. He dropped to his knees and started to sob. Natsu then draped himself over Future Lucy's corpse. "Dammit!" He shouted.
Split second and you disappeared and then I was all alone...
'I couldn't protect her.' Natsu thought. 'She died because of me. I wasn't strong enough to save her. Lucy why did you leave me?' Natsu kept crying over Lucy.
'Lucy why did you leave me?!?'
Woke up in tears with you by my side, breath of relief and I realized...
Natsu bolted up from the bed. His eyes were red and puffy from crying. His clothes were sticking to him because of his sweat.
He then heard a soft moan from the bed. Natsu looked over to where the sound came from. He saw Lucy sit up in the bed. She lifted her hands from the bed and started to rub her eyes. Once she opened her eyes she stared at Natsu.
Lucy then took a closer look at Natsu. She saw how his eyes were red and puffy. She saw the large drops of sweat on his forehead.
"Natsu what's wrong?" Lucy asked.
No, we're not promised tomorrow...
Natsu quickly walked and jumped onto the bed. He then held his wife in his arms.
"You're alive." He murmured.
"Of course I'm alive idiot. Why would I be dead?" Lucy said.
"I had a nightmare," he started. "It was about Future Lucy. I saw h-you die right in front of me. I couldn't save you..."
Lucy then pushed Natsu off of her. She then placed her hands on his cheeks. Lucy pulled her husbands face closer to hers.
She put her forehead to Natsu's.
"I'm still here, okay?" Lucy said.
Natsu grabbed her shoulders and kissed her lips softly.
So I'm gonna love you, like I'm gonna lose you...
"Please don't ever leave me." Natsu whispered.
"I promise I won't leave you. I would never leave you or our child." Lucy replied.
Natsu pulled her into another kiss. He licked her bottom lip asking for entry. Lucy obliged and parted her lips. Natsu quickly slid his tongue into her mouth.
Lucy moaned softly as the kiss turned into a war for dominance.
They both broke away panting.
"I love you." Natsu said.
"I love you too." Lucy replied.
I'm gonna hold you like I'm saying goodbye...
Natsu hugged Lucy again. He brushed his nose against her neck and muttered "I love you." She laughed a little. "Natsu you said that already."
He moaned into her the nape of her neck. "I don't care if I've already said it. I'll say it a million times just so you can know that I love you."
Lucy smiled as she slowly drifted off to sleep in Natsu's arms. Natsu felt Lucy's body go limp against his. He knew she was asleep but he checked to make sure. Natsu slowly set her down on the mattress and pulled the sheet over her.
Wherever we're standing, I won't take you for granted, 'cause  we'll never know when, when we'll run out of time...
Natsu then laid down next to Lucy trying not to wake her. He just sat there thinking about the future. His future, her future, their future.
He thought about the things they would do. He thought about Nashi. Natsu knew his daughter was going to be a powerful wizard. He knew she was going to live a good life.
He thought about Lucy. He wanted to know how much time he had with her. He wanted to know how to make time stop just so he could spend time with her. He wanted to spend everyday and every night with her.
He wanted her to keep loving him. He wants her to love him just as much as he loves her. He wanted her to know how much she means to him.
He wanted to love her forever. He wanted to love her like she was going to leave the next day. He decided that he was going to show her exactly what he felt. He was going to love her like he was going to lose her.
So I'm gonna love you like I'm gonna lose you...
