Vanessa

After a moment I realized I had didn't recognize the number at all. I sighed and put my phone down beside me in the grass. Inhaling the trees and the grassy smells, I let myself relax into the hammock.

Sunday Afternoon

Sunday afternoons were honestly peaceful for me and I was somewhat productive. I woke up no later than 11:15 am only to spend majority of my day outdoors.

Shifting slightly in my bed, I opened my eyes and took a deep breath. I took in my bedroom for a moment before wiping the 'crustiest' from my eyes. Being 'grounded' was unusual for me. Sure, there were nights when I couldn't leave my house because my father didn't want me to but it was never for a long period of time. Two weeks? Outrageous. However, I was slightly content. If I was grounded then I didn't have to worry about drowning my temple with liquor (of course , I could get my hands on some if I needed to) or embarrassing myself in front of my peers, whom surprisingly didn't seem to take notice of the events that occurred at the previous party. After a moment, I removed myself from the silky sheets and let the chill air hit my arms and legs.Standing up, I went over to my window and opened my curtains, letting the bright sun emerge into my room. Abruptly, I took a deep breathe and smiled.

Third

Vanessa went into her bathroom and began to turn on the faucet. Cool water began to emerge and flow into her rounded sink. Grabbing her tooth brush she slid it under the water and grabbed her Colgate toothpaste. Popping open the cap, she released the substance onto her brush and put it into her mouth. As she brushed her teeth in a circular motion she stared at figure in the mirror. She was a pretty decent female. She had luxurious long hair that possibly stopped beyond her bra strap and she had a somewhat small figure. Majority of the time she was content with the way she looked.

Running down the steps she threw her hair into a messy bun and walked into the kitchen were her dad was sipping on coffee and reading the newspaper.

"Morning." Vanessa said, somewhat dryly as she walked over to the fridge. Her father, glanced up from his newspaper and tilted down his reading glasses.

"Good morning, Nessa." Vanessa glanced over her shoulder and sent a small nod towards her father. Chewing on her lip, she couldn't decide what she wanted to eat this morning. After settling with a Nature Valley bar and a glass of orange juice she sat down at the island, attempting to avoid further conversation with her father. Her father took notice quickly and chuckled, peeking over his newspaper once more. His thin rim glasses sat upon his nose, making him look more sophisticated than usual, although, he looked intimidating more than anything.

"I think I'm going to step into the office today. If you need me, that's were I'll be." He said, rising from his seat. Once he did so he pushed back in his seat and grabbed his glass mug that was filled with coffee. Vanessa removed her glass from her lips and glance over her shoulder, watching her dad quietly head out of the kitchen and down the hall.
After devouring her energy bar and orange juice she disposed her trash and placed her glass into the sink. She soon found herself stumbling towards the entrance of the garage. She unlocked the door and opened it. Lurking inside, she outstretched her arm to the left, flicking in the light switch. One by one, the dark room lit up. A display of three cars say under the glossy beaming lights. The garage had to be the fanciest modern day room in the house. Glancing over, she peeped the rack of bikes, hanging along the side wall. Before she walked over she pushed the button for the garage door to open. After it rose she walked over and removed her bike from the rack. Grabbing her bike, she slowly headed towards the exit. Bike riding was something she used to do all the time when she was younger. She'd enjoyed every second of it and then one day it just stopped. Her love for it had simply died down.
Once she was out of the garage she hopped onto her bike and began to peddle towards the back of her house were there was a back entrance and a coda sack. An area she never really considered to be apart of her backyard. The wind sent lose strands from her bun flying away. For the rest of the day she found herself devouring food and devoting herself to her homework, after she enjoyed the sun on her skin.

Keeping:
*Will remove at a later date.
A/N: Basic / boring chapter but I honestly needed to get this out. The next chapter is going to be better. If you haven't already checked up my new story called Figments then you should check it out. Each chapter is over 1,000 words and it's prewritten. It's different from this and Distance Between Us
but I hope you guys like it just as much (I love writing it). So far there are two chapters. Once I get more views OR feedback in general I'll update.

• I'm going to make an actual schedule that I plan to follow. (Attempt to do so anyways). So hopefully everything will have a day in which it is published.
