I guess I've always lived alone. I grew up alone my whole life, without any siblings and a mother. My dad was never there for me, but I managed to live a independent life. There's nothing wrong with that, I suppose.

I always had this feeling that I was going to meet someone, that will change my life. Sometimes I think it might be stupid to think that though, but I always looked up to those princesses that get saved by their prince charming's, and they live happily ever after. It's not like everyone gets a happily ever after, but a girl can dream, can't she?

I lived in a small little village in the forest, near the bay. Our houses are like cabins, made of dark oak trees. After the blizzard we had the other day, all of our homes were ruined. I managed to collect a couple things around the house, including my music box. My music box was a gift given to me by my mother, before she passed away. I love falling asleep to the soothing, some what magical sound. It makes me think of her, and it gives me comfort.

My mother passed away five years ago, I was only ten at the time, but I remember it like it was yesterday. I usually say "Be safe" to my mom every morning before she leaves to go to her job. On this day, I accidentally over slept and didn't get to say "Be safe". I went to school like everyday, but then a teacher pulled me outside to tell me about the news that my mom has died in a car accident. I was shocked and scared, I didn't know what to do. I thought that maybe if i said "Be safe" in the morning like i always do, that she would have been ok. I tried to think of it as if my mom didn't die, i thought of it as if she went on a really long business trip.

My dad on the other hand, he changed when mother passed away. Now he doesn't smile, or laugh ever. We used to be a great little family, we would always laugh, play, and be goofy. Once mom died, it all changed. It became gloomy and my dad and I kind of drifted away.

My horse Snowy, is the closest thing to me as a friend. I love her with all my heart, and I wouldn't bare losing her in the blizzard. I fell in love with her, the first time I met her. Her coat was as white as the snow, her fur was like a pillow, so soft. She was only a baby at the time, but now she grew up a lot since then.

During the middle of December, I walked outside, where all the houses were destroyed by the blizzard the other day. I went into the broken down stable, to find Snowy and started brushing her fur. In the glimpse of my eye, I thought I saw a child under a tree. She looked like she was covered up in snow or asleep. I decided to check it out, walking slowly with Snowy's lead in my other hand. I then saw something.....a rabbit.
