MissAvaMae: planes are for naps

Two days after returning from tour, Harry was pushing me into the car without a word of where we were going. I knew it was a long trip, because we had Pancake and Charm in the back (we moved them to Harrys house for a few days when we flew in from Toronto). We dropped them off with Lacey a few minutes later, leaving me with even more confusion. She wasn't there but we figured they'd be fine. Immediately after dropping them off, Harry started the drive towards the airport.

When we eventually pulled into the parking garage, Harry immediately got out and went around to the trunk. Apparently while I was in the studio earlier this morning, somebody packed a suitcase for me. I took my stuff and Harry grabbed his before we headed into the airport. We checked in for the private jet and Harry snatched my hand as we headed out towards the car that would be taking us to the plane. Much to my surprise, Anne, Robin, and Gemma were all waiting in the car for us to arrive.

I still had no idea where we were going as we boarded the plane. It wasn't until takeoff that I figured it out.

We were on a jet headed to Hawaii.

After the plane landed, we got our bags and Harry got a rental car while his parents got one too. I don't know how he pulled it off, but somehow Harry was able to plan an entire seven day long vacation with his family as well as mine without me finding out. When I walked into the beach house that he'd rented to find my parents and Lacey there, the word excited was an understatement. (And confusion about the pets, but they're with my cousins.)

We all met up at a restaurant for dinner. I somehow managed to get seated between Harry and Gemma, meaning I had to deal with being in the middle of the sarcastic arguments. They hadn't been too bad, but it happens after awhile usually. Harry had his hand rested on my thigh, while my head was leaning on his shoulder. His mum had been telling him a story, but I was just kind of spacing out. I just loved the feeling of being surrounded by so much love at the table. I was in la-la-land.

Once the food arrives, the conversations don't stop. Harry and I were the quietest out of everybody, both of us just kind of sitting back and watching out families converse with one another. I loved that our parents got along so well. Even when dessert was brought to the table, our mothers were still deep in their conversation. Gemma had taken a liking to Lacey too, so they were talking non-stop. I was slightly scared that they were secretly bonding over planning something against Harry and I, but I ignored it.

We wrap up dinner and all of us head to the beach houses that Harry had rented out. He'd rented one for our parents and one for us, Lacey, and Gemma. They were crazy nice houses. We all retreated to the back patio of the one where our parents were staying, getting drinks out and a campfire started in the fire pit. Everything about it was perfect.

The next day, Harry woke me up with breakfast in bed. Once everybody was up, we all headed to the beach. Everybody kind of broke apart and did separate things, but Harry dragged Gem, Lacey and I off to go scuba diving. My parents took Lacey and I to lunch, while Harry went to go spend some time with his family.

After doing some shopping with Lacey (and some much needed catching up) for a few hours, I called it a day. It was already four thirty by the time we got back to the house. I immediately headed up the stairs and towards the bedroom that Harry and I were staying in, hoping he would be in there. He wasn't, but my eyes immediately landed on a dress bag laid out on the bed with roses and a piece of paper on top of it. I walked over to it curiously, picking up the note that laid on top of it.
