A Night You'd Never Forget...

Imagine...

you and Dan have been dating for about a year or so and you're driving down the highway, hands intertwined, just for a cruise.

The windows are down, the sun roof is open, and the radio is on too, but you can't really make out the song, it's just background noise.

The sun is setting and there aren't many cars around - its about ten after 8 on a Friday, and most people are already where they're going to be for the night.

All of a sudden, Dan starts slowing down, making his way too pull over on the right. "What's wrong!?" you ask, worried. It didn't seem like anything was wrong a few seconds ago.

You come to a dead stop. He's biting his lower lip; he looks nervous. It seems like he's looking everywhere else except for your eyes.

You squeeze his hand, "Dan?"

He looks up, his golden brown eyes finally meeting yours. "I'm ready" he says, almost in a whisper.

"Ready?...", you think. "Love, ready for wha-...oh!"

Your heart skips a beat. He gives you a smirk. You've been waiting for this. Every time you've thought of it your heart ached - it's been a chore to keep it off your mind. But were you ready? Would you disappoint him? Before you can say anything Dan interrupts your thoughts.

"I know we said we were going to wait... but I can't. I want you. I need you. [y/n], I love you". Your heart's beating so hard you're pretty sure he can hear it.

"Dan, I feel the same way... you know I love you, you know I do... but I'm scared. I don't know if I'm ready. What if it's not what you think, what if I let you down? What if-"

He cuts you off with a kiss, but not just any kiss - this was different. It was hard, it was passionate, it was wanting... no - starving. Starving for you. You could feel how much he wanted you, and in that moment you knew now, more than ever, that you wanted him too.

Now you were sure.

You pull away, but only for a second.

"You're very persuasive" you say, teasing.

He chuckles, "Is that a yes then?"

"Yes... I'm ready" you finally say, and throw yourself on him, kissing him hard.

This was a night you'd never forget.
