"I miss you so much." I whispered. My tears dropping onto the picture of us on our trip to Ghana. He was so genorous. Always cared for everyone else even though if they didn't like him. Who wouldn't like him.
I let the new roll of fresh tears spill on my damp cheeks. "Why did you have to do that? Why?" I asked placing the picture back on the shelf. I wiped the tears with the back of my hand and straitened myself up. I gathered myself together to prepare myself for our get together.
Louis and Eleanor are now engaged. Harry is dating a lovely girl, Katie. Surprisingly around his age. Zayn and perrie are now married. Liam is single. I just envy everyone because they are loved, filled, getting married except liam.
Eleanor and Liam would always visit as much as they can. Checking if I was okay. To be honest I wasn't, I will never be. Not without niall.
My bell ringed, I already know who that is. "Hello?" I opened the door just a crack to see Eleanor and Louis. "Maria? How are you doing?" Eleanor asked. "Fine." I sniffed. I opened the door wider for both of them too come in.
"The house seems cleaner. Not saying that it wasn't. But I'm glad your doing well." Eleanor stumbled over her point. I nodded. "So just make yourself at home while i'll make some tea." I pointed to the kitchen.
I slowly walked towards the kitchen thinking about what it would be like with Niall still here. Slowly I grabbed the pot and water and put it on the stove.
"So how have you guys been doing?" I asked them. "Well I would model a bit there and here." Eleanor said. "Good. How about you Louis?" I tried to make small talk. "Well I've been better. But since the funeral- I just can't." He started sobbing. I developed tears of my own. "Louis stop it. He would want you to move on. Not to mope around all day and mourn about his death. Niall would want all of us to move on. Step by step we could get through all of this." I rubbed Louis hand with my thumb.
He let out a quavery breath and nodded. "The others are coming soon." I said. And just like I said there was a soft knock on the door.
I opened it and there was liam. Other than me who took it the hardest, Liam was next. "Hi liam." I kissed he cheek and have him a tight hug. "Hi maria." He smiled.
I pointed to the living room room where el and Lou was. Soon enough everyone was here. "Thank you everyone who has come!" I shouted. I got a lot of yes's and hums.
"We are all gathered to talk about n-niall." I croak at the sound of his name. My eyes sting with new tears but I bite my lips to hold them back. I soon feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn around and see that it was liam. He was nodding his head. "It's ok." He reassured me.
"So, Niall was a great man. He made me smile he made everyone smile." I smiled at the thought. "I remember when we first met."
(Flashback)
I was walking down the busy streets of London. Inhaling the cold air while my hands were in my hoodie pockets. I was walking down to Starbucks, for some fresh ice coffee.
When I saw a familiar sign come up I smiled. I opened the door and smelled the grinded coffee, and baked goods. I knew the owner very well.
"Hey jake could I get the iced mocha?!" I yelled. "Maria! Yes you could!" Jake yelled back. There wasn't a lot of people here. Soon he came back with my usual drink. "Thanks here's two pounds." I handed him the money while I turned around quickly. I sipped the cold drink with my eyes closed.
Suddenly I fell on top of something. "Oh god! I'm so sorry sir!" I scrambled to get up. I took a good look at him. Problably my age, blonde hair, crystal blue eyes, a little taller than me. He was quite cute. "It's alright love. Maybe you shouldn't walk with your eyes closed." Wow he had an Irish accent. I laughed nervously.
He looked at me in the eye. He looks oddly familiar. "Um have I seen you before?" I pointed at him. He looked nervous. "Erm, I'm Niall horan." He rubbed the back of his neck. "Hmm. Still doesn't ring a bell." I thought to myself for a second. "From that band called wand erection?" I asked. He chuckled. "One direction." He corrected. "Right. Sorry again for running into you." I smiled nervously. "It's ok. Do you want to sit down?" He asked. I nodded and sat down at a booth.
(Flashback over)
I didn't even realize the tears down my cheeks until they dropped into my chest. "Are you okay?" Liam asked. I wiped the tears away. "Yes, just good memories." I replied. He ushered me too sit down.
For an hour or so we all shared our good memories with niall. I would let a tear out every so often. It's hard to get over the love of your life's death. Liam who was holding my hand the whole time he was crying. Ever since Niall died we've grown so close to each other.
Everyone left except for liam. "I loved him." I said out of the blue. And that's when liam broke down. I pulled him into a tight hug while rubbing his back. "If only h-he was still h-here. Why did he leave us?!" Liam yelled. "Shh. Liam it's ok everything is going to be ok." I tried to tell him. "But it's not. He's gone. He's really gone." He hiccuped. New tears slipped down my cheeks. "Yes he really is." I said. "When will this bad dream be over?!" He yelled agian. He broke down into sobs. "Hey hey! This is real. He may be gone but he is still with us. Whatching us, telling us what's right from wrong. He still loves all of us. What we have to do is move on." I reassured him.
He nodded and left for the bathroom. I lay there deep in thought. What if we can't move on? I still love him. I will always love him, no matter what. Even if he is gone. He will always be that sweet Irish guy that captured my heart and took it with him to go to heaven. But one thing he didn't take was my love.
