"Hey Baby Girl, hey Kev," Morgan said as he waltzed out of BAU. He spotted Garcia and her boyfriend Kevin walking toward the elevators. "Where you guy off to?" questioned Morgan. "Just going out to get a bite for lunch. Wanna come?" Garcia offered as she glanced at Kevin for approval. Kevin nodded and smiled at Garcia, but Morgan noticed that immediately after she turned towards the elevator, Kevin's smile disappeared. He looked angry, almost disappointed. "Um, sure I was on my way to eat too," Morgan said hesitantly. Garcia smiled at him as they got into the elevator, while Kevin kept his head down.
They reached a small cafe a few blocks from the BAU, and sat down at a small round table. Picking up the menu, Garcia smiled, "Mmm, everything sounds so good! What do you think Kevin?" "I don't know, I'm not really hungry," Kevin said dismissively. "Oh, al-alright," Garcia said dropping her head to focus on the menu. As they ordered and ate, Morgan noticed Kevin subtly turning his body away from Garcia. He and Garcia chatted about her crafts, previous cases, anything and everything, while Kevin remained almost silent adding some "yeah" "sure" and "mhmm"s to the conversation. After everyone had finished eating and paid, they headed back to the BAU.
When standing in the elevator, Garcia said, "That was fun! I have to update my system today, and I'm not excited." "Yeah I have loads of paperwork to get through. My desk is covered in case files," Derek said and he glanced over at Garcia. "Wow that's tough," said Kevin sarcastically. "Hey you got a problem?!" Derek said angrily, as the elevator dinged and Kevin grasped Garcia's hand and pulled her quickly away. Derek looked at Garcia as she turned back at him and shrugged as she was being pulled quickly away. Derek, frustrated, looked down at his feet, shook it off, and continued into the BAU.
