After the incident where Cassidy got thrown in jail, her mother distanced herself from the girl. The beginning of the end to their already rocky relationship; the straw that broke the camel's back. They didn't even speak, and when they did it was an argument. Her mother got to the point where she gave Cass money to leave for a few months. With Tyler and Cassidy broken up, she couldn't really invite him. So she called Ricki and her best friend didn't hesitate with her answer. Now that you're caught up, lets take a look back at their trip to Vegas.
Good girls go to heaven, and bad girls go to Vegas. Ricki squealed when the plane finally landed. She slapped Cassidy's arm to wake her up, but her sleep was disrupted as soon as Ricki opened her mouth. "Oh shut the hell up what's going on?" Before Ricki got a chance to answer, the pilot spoke on the intercom, letting everyone know they had arrived. After collecting their carry-on's, Cassidy and Ricki made their way to pick up the rest of their luggage. Cassidy focused on the bags making their way around, searching for theirs. Ricki broke the silence between them, " I can't believe we're actually here, you have our IDs, right?" Cass didn't even have to look to know the answer. She simply gave a slight nod and continued to look for their bags. Ricki groaned, grabbing Cassidy's shoulder, "What's wrong Cass? You've been a grump this whole trip. You aren't still upset about the Tyler thing are you?"
Cassidy wasn't about to let her friend in on the real reason. She felt like she was about to die. Every little thing, the birds chirping, the sun shining, every detail normal people would enjoy was working against her. She was living in a nightmare, having to sit with her own thoughts was miserable. The voice in her head telling her everyone was staring at her, even her best friend, and they were all talking shit about her. She wanted it to be over; silence. It had only been a few hours since she'd last used, yet it felt like it had been years. Cass finally spoke up, "I just miss him, that's all. Don't worry about it." She lied, to her best friend, the only person who seemed to be there for her. However, she seemed to have grown accustomed to lying. Her empathy was gone, Cassidy was gone, and in her place was a monster. Ricki nodded anyway and pulled her in for a hug. She believed her, again.
Finally they grabbed the bags and started off for their hotel. "Wait here, I need to get something." Cassidy grabbed a box of Nyquil and checked out. She shoved it in her purse then hurried back to Ricki. Now she would have something to hold her over until they could get some real drugs.
The next couple of days flew by. Cassidy got her white heaven and Ricki got guys. Everyone was happy. This was their last day in Vegas, however, they didn't realize it yet.
They slept the day away, waking up at about 7 to get ready for another night of partying. Cass threw a dress over her head and shimmied her way into the skin tight fabric. A shimmering gold dress with clear spaghetti straps. Her cleavage out for the world to see. Ricki decided to throw conservative clothing to the wind as well, with a matching silver dress. This was a big night for them, tonight they'd be partying with the big boys. The Wynn and Encore complex on the north end of the Las Vegas strip. One of the biggest casinos in the city of angels. Cass reached in her bag on their way out for a bump of white. Something to boost her mood and get her ready for the night ahead.
Much to her disappointment her vial was empty. "What the fuck?" she scoffed. Ricki turned around to face Cass, a look of concern crossed her face. "Everything okay?" Cass looked up at her friend and her eyes narrowed. Of course the first thing to cross her mind, 'This bitch really stole my fucking drugs. My shit.' Cass shoved Ricki aside and stormed through the door. "I can't believe you, fucking cross eyed bambi ass bitch.", she managed through clenched teeth. A bead of sweat rolled down her forehead. She was starting to come down and she was not prepared in any way. She had to find something and fast.
Ricki went on to the casino, pushing Cass' insult to the back of her mind for the moment. Cass would find her way to the casino and apologize eventually.
Cass took this time to find herself some speed. She needed something, anything, to lift her up again. Surely wandering the strip she'd find something. A wad of cash stuffed in her bra, she was determined to get that fix. After about twenty minutes she found exactly what she was looking for. At least she thought she had. A man gave her a clear baggie with some crystal like powder, but not like her usual white. This was yellowish, and tasted more foul. The guy swore it would give her the fix she was looking for though, and it was cheaper than her usual anyway.
Cass shrugged and made her way to the casino. Before going to find Ricki she needed to try this new stuff, her powdered courage for the night. She darted into the bathroom and thankfully it was empty. In the stall, she used her phone as a tray. Dropping a few of the crystals into a folded dollar, she placed it on the back of her phone and pressed with her lighter. The crushing sounds gave her goosebumps, and she rushed to get the powder in her nose. She was starting to get shaky anyhow, she knew she wouldn't last much longer without anything. Using her ID, she broke it up a little more, just enough so she could make a line.
The girl scraped a decent sized line together and smirked. The dollar she had just used to crush the crystals was licked clean and rolled up to be reused as a straw to snort it. She snorted half in her right nostril and the other with her left. The minute it hit her nasal cavities, she shivered. Her skin forming goosebumps all over and it was almost like she could feel her pupils dilating, her blood pumping through her veins. Absolute heaven, the burn was much more intense than her usual and she could help but fall in love all over again with this new drug. However, ice could be a nasty drug, and Cass was about to find out just how bad things could get.
She found Ricki and they danced the whole night through. They flirted, won a few games, lost a few, and mostly used their looks to take advantage of the old creeps there willing to throw money their way.
This new stuff was strange to Cass, as she didn't feel the need to keep doing bumps as the night went on. However, worried that the comedown was going to hit her at anytime, she still continued to do lines in the bathroom, and later in stranger's hotel rooms. Enough to the point where Cass couldn't feel anything. Her senses were overwhelmed, it was like she could feel and hear everything. Her heart was beating so fast and the sound was so loud in her head that she wasn't sure how to feel. Ricki reached for Cass' hand suddenly and her voice managed to break through the sound of her heart beating in her own head. "Are you okay? You look kind of pale."
At that, her vision began to fade to black. Cass passed out on the balcony of some rich old man's hotel room. Her heart had finally stopped pounding. In fact it had stopped beating all together.
Dead silence.
