Leona slipped on her black and blue tank and her darkest pair of skinny jeans. Being 18 came with many advantages she could leave anytime she wanted didn't have to tell anyone. She heard the car horn and dashed outside to find her best friend Victoria waiting on her. Her mom was asleep but she didn't care anyways, Leona was moving out in two weeks anyways. This was the last trip with Victoria before she moved to new york to go to collage. It was warp tour and its been a ritual to go with Victoria on the rock and bus. She lived in Lubbock Texas but warped tour would either go to Dallas or San Antonio. Leona was born in San Antonio so she loved visiting. She plopped next to Victoria and turned the music up doing a fist pump in Victoria's beat up red convertible. "You ready for our last time, I'm gonna miss it! We always have so much fun. Were going all out this time around i even brought 100 extra." Victoria squealed. "I know right this time around i plan to meet falling in reverse even if it kills me" Leona said adjusting to the leather seat as Victoria pressed on the gas zooming into the three o'clock morning air.
LEONA: As we arrived at the south plains mall i saw the charter bus with maybe ten people inside. Hopefully its someone we know. We've been doing this for four years and i still cant get over the thrill of going on a trip with strangers at three o'clock in the morning. I saw Victoria locking up the car and then started heading to the bus. I quickened my steps feeling that i would be left behind stranded (stupid right but one of my many fears).
We take our seats in the middle knowing well that the super rockers sit in the back with their frightening black aura, and the squealing fan girls were in the front. Me and Victoria always arrive early so we can get the best seats. five minutes pass by with me and Victoria's chit chat when he walk in. Derrick. I hate his name its such a douche name but hes' my crush what am i to do. He had mid length blond hair barley covering his eyebrows, a tight jaw with a nicely pointed nose, his eyes were the color of the ocean, and his body was to kill for he had the right amount of muscles to make any girl fall. He smiled and waved and came to sit next to me. I hadn't seen him in a year because he graduated and we hardly kept contact. When I was a junior he was a senior. I remember very clearly him giving me a ride home, him poking his head in my classroom door making funny faces, him flirting with me in the hall. " Hey, long time no see, I knew you would be here." He said with that crooked smile i so much loved. "Duh, you think we would mess up tradition. This time is going to be hard core if you know what i mean."I said smugly. he laughed and waved at Victoria. The bus driver gave us a glance and then shut the door it was take off.
VICTORIA: I know very well about Leos crush on derrick she would play around about how sexy he was, but she said that about a few guys calling them her "eye candy". I also know she lied to herself because if they would've asked her out she would say yes with some hesitation.she was self conscious. She felt that no guy was good enough for her or she wasn't good enough for any guy. She just didn't know how beautiful she was, if she were to ask any guy they would say yes in a heart beat. Shes self conscious because she was a little thick. In all honesty that's what made her so beautiful, even during freshman year she had the body of a woman while i had a A cup. She was sturdy not like me and the other twig bitches at our school. I'm tall lengthy and weigh about 110 pounds I'm not skinny I'm just fit considering me being a track star. Also she had beautiful long thick curly brown hair when straightened it was at her lower back, i had short choppy light brown hair. When me and her got dressed up we looked like two fine bitches.
The bus took two more stops before we actually headed to San Antonio. Leo was talking to derrick while i listened to one of my favorite songs "I constantly thank god for Esteban" by panic at the disco. It was already 5:00 and i didn't know where we were but i never do i just enjoy the ride. I feel a nudge on my shoulder and see Leo looking at me i take off my headphones and look look at her. "I swear Victoria did you not just hear me." Leo said opening her mouth to say something else before i cut her off."Sorry mommy ill listen more" I commented sarcastically.She gave me a 'really' look when i giggled and asked what i missed." I was telling Derrick about how this is going to be our last tour together and how I'm moving to New york", she said in a pouty voice. Deep down i didn't want her to go but she wanted this so i had to let her go. I knew derrick was heartbroken about this too because i knew he had a small crush on Leo ever since a asking Alexandra when he followed her with some distance between, them making sure she didn't fall and stuff but i remember in the middle of it he lost her because she went crowd surfing, or when he was smoking and she wafted the smoke out of her face so he turned off the cigarette asked if she was OK. Most guys are not that considerate.
LEONA: When i woke it, it was 11:00 and Victoria was nudging me to wake me up. I popped up like i was a popcorn kernel when i heard we were here. It was like magic i was awake within seconds i grabbed my stuff and let my eyes wonder looking for Derrick."Derrick went ahead to get us a spot in line if you were awake, this whole process would have been faster." Whined Victoria. I rolled my eyes and headed off the bus. The concert ground was amazing each year it was set up different and each year i was sure Victoria could see the whites of my eyes. I spun my bag around and pulled out 12 cans of carrots and handed Victoria three i searched for derrick and when i found him i handed three to him the last three i put up and yelled "WHO WANTS THEM!" Everyone who was veterinarian at Warp tour knew three things of can food lets you skip the line. There were several people who jumped and almost tackled me. I pushed them to the closes person i saw. I could tell she was newbie so i told her to follow me. "Hi I'm Leona, are you here with anyone?" She shook her head and said she was meeting someone here."I'm Rachel, what are these for?" She asked naively. I grinned " You get to skip the line if you bring three canned foods." She shook her head walked with us to the 'feed our children now' tent. After the mandatory frisking we walked though to join the overflowing music. Me and Victoria parted from Derrick and Rachel wandered on her own. We most likely would see them later. Victoria nudged me" So how are we gonna get wasted this time?" she questioned" Well duh were legal, we can just work it a little and get us a sucker to get us a few drinks."I chuckled. Me and Victoria did this every year but this time around we didn't feel so bad about it maybe this time we could actually stick around with the guy instead of losing them in the crowd. Its not like we wanted to or anything its just that we wanted something to drink and we didn't want to get the guy in trouble you know... us being under aged and all.
Me and Victoria jumped to the moving beat of Asking Alexandra. "I WANT TO SEE ALL HELL BREAK LOSE OPEN UP THAT PITT SAN ANTONIO!!!!"Danny's godly voice roared. The next thing i knew i see that Victoria mouthed something i could not comprehend and pointed to the back. I shook my head and pushed forward to the front as my friend was torn away from me.
