I woke up in a room with white walls, and a carpeted floor. It wasn't a hospital. At first, I didn't recognize it. But I soon realized it was my room. With two girls hovering me. One with blonde hair and steel eyes. The other with brown hair and hazel eyes. I shook my head, trying to remember them. Kaylee and Lilith.
"You two look like you've seen a ghost," I said. "...She's okay," Lilith said, rolling her eyes. I laugh. Lilith left, and Kaylee moved backward as I sat up. "What's wrong with you?" I ask. "Nothing. I won't bug you with it tonight," She said. That reminded me of the phone call. Someone was in the hospital, with a broken neck and brain injuries. I don't remember who. I'll go to the hospital in the morning.
I woke up, walked down stairs and hopped in my car. I drove straight to the hospital. Kaylee took Luke to school. Well, that's what Lilith told me. I stomped up to the front desk once I reached the hospital. "I'm Rebecca Wilson. Where is he?" I asked, acting polite. The guy told me room 2367. I walked quickly to the room. When I walked in, I didn't expect it to be this bad.
My dad was attached to a machine that informed people of his heart rate. He had a cast around his neck and his body lay straight. "Hi Rebby," he choked out. I snapped out of myself feeling bad. "What did you do? I told you not to drive drunk," I said strictly. "I didn't Rebecca." He said, his voice hoarse. "Dad..." I sighed. He closed his eyes. His heart rate calmed. He fell asleep. Ugh. I left. I wouldn't wait for him to wak back up. As I pulled out, there was a honk. I pushed on the brake. When I turned around, no one was there. I rolled my eyes and continued to drive towards home. I parked in the driveway. When I started walking towards the door, my car alarm went off. No one was there. I turned it off and grabbed the mail. I flipped through the envelopes ad I walked inside. When I sat on the couch, one caught my eye. I opened it.
To Rebecca
Hello, Rebby. That was all the note said. It creeped me out. I shook my head, setting the mail on the coffee table. "Hey." Someone said. I screamed. "Rebecca, what's wrong?" Lilith asked. "I thought you worked today!" I basically yelled. "I took the day off," she responded, her hands up. I shook my head. "It's okay, just paranoid today," I said. Her phone rang. "Hello. Yes. Yes. She is here." She handed me the phone and mouthed 'for you.' I took it. "Hello?" I said. "Rebecca? Can you come to the hospital right now. Something happened." Uh oh.
