Aubrey' Pov
“Stop squirming” Gregory said as he looked closely at my still bleeding leg, Maya stood over head holding me down as I cried out in pain. I felt the metal tweezers dug around in my wound searching for the wooden bullet, the pain was unbearable even with me being a vampire I was surprised I was still able to feel this kind of pain.
It took at least three tries to get the bullet out of my leg until he finally managed to grab a hold of it, “Finally...” Gregory placed the bullet on a paper towel and moved to my shoulder wound.
He is going to pay, that Vampire hunter will rue the day he decided to mess with me My vampire screamed.
After I had blacked out in the parking lot, Maya and Gregory went out looking for me and Garrett when we didn’t come back after three hours only to find me on the ground unconscious and covered in blood…lots of blood.
“Don’t worry about me, we have to get out there and look for him” I said pushing Gregory aside and standing up, I ignored the pain in my leg as I walked to the door.
“You can’t, you aren’t fully healed Aubrey” Maya said grabbing a hold of my arm trying to force me to sit back down.
“You don’t understand!” I growled shoving her aside with more force then I intended. Ever since Maya and Gregory had found me, my eyes haven’t gone back to normal, I could tell my inner vampire was pissed just by the way she heightened my senses I knew she wanted to kill the hunter deeply.
“He took Garrett Maya, he could be torturing him right now and all we are doing is sitting on our asses like it’s a holiday!” I yelled glaring at them, “If this was happening to you and Gregory, I assure you; you wouldn’t be sitting here worrying about injuries”
“That may be true Aubrey, but if you want to find him you have to have all your strength!” Gregory yelled back “You can’t just go looking for a vampire hunter injured and expect everything to turn out right. That’s not how this works!”
“I would rather die trying then die knowing I did nothing” I growled stepping forward with bared teeth.
“Aubrey’s right” Shawn voiced stepping forward.
“I know Samuel well, and I know for a fact he is not letting up on Garrett right now just because he is human. He is taking it all out on him just because he was with Aubrey today and could tell they are bonded.” He turned to me with soft eyes for once and placed a hand on my shoulder.
“Aubrey…I know what you are feeling right now, believe me I do. And I want you to know we will find him. I won’t let you go through the same pain I went through”
Shawn turned back to Gregory and Maya with a pained expression “You all know what happened to Amy three years ago. It was tragic I won’t lie. Garrett is family now ever since he bounded with Aubrey, he is part of this Coven and we have to save him” he said with a stern voice.
“If he didn’t let up on his own daughter, then he won’t let up on him”
Garrett’s Pov
“My dear boy, you must understand I don’t mean to do this to you, but I simply have no choice” I raised my wounded head and looked up at the man before me; I noticed I was in a standing position and found I was chained to a wall. I weakly tired to pull against the chains as the man lowered his face so he could look me in the eyes.
“But you see son, my daughter used to be in the same position right now, but you see…she was a vampire at the time” and chuckled when he saw my face, “Oh yea, my dear sweet Amy was my only child and you know what happened? She fell in love. Not the worst thing a dad could hope for but when they fall for a vampire…now that’s the scary part.”
