The feeling never really left all weekend. I found myself looking at the windows everywhere I went. Clara stayed with me all weekend even Jax cancelled some of his plans with his new friends to be with me. He's such a good brother.

By Sunday, everyone knew I was the one attacked. Meal times were the worse with everyone looking at my bruises. I finally decided to just eat somewhere else. I found little places where I could hide comfortably and eat my food peacefully.

Charlie would sit with me somewhere hidden and we would talk about conspiracy theories or YouTubers. She actually got me hooked on two of them. Markiplier and Jacksepticeye. It was weird watching them play video games but it ended up being very entertaining.

It was Wednesday when Chris finally decided to talk to me. Charlie wanted extra practice for our first piano test so she was practicing during lunch instead of being here with me. I was using the gift my grandma bought me, a cell phone, watching Mark play Until Dawn. I was hidden in a nook in the back of the gardens.

"Hey." He smiled weakly. He's been a little distant. I mean so have I but whenever I go to talk to him he usually ends the conversation early and walks away quickly. Clara has been busy with her new boyfriend since Sunday night so it's just me and Charlie this week.

"Not too busy running away from me are you?" I asked still watching Mark.

"I wasn't running away from you. I just got busy." He said. I paused the video and looked up at him.

"The last time I went to talk to you, you were reading a book. And don't pull that 'I had remembered to do something' crap with me because I walked outside a few minutes later and found you reading off to the side. I may not be in the same grade as you Chris but I am smart enough to know when someone is ignoring me." I looked back down at my phone and pressed play. I watched Mark choose between Josh and Ashely and I was sickened at what happened next.

"Look I'm sorry. I just needed to clear my head. Some things are going on and I just didn't want to drag you into it." He sighed.

"How would you drag me into it?" I asked looking up at him.

"Because I would ok?" He said running his hand through his hair. It was really attractive. OH!!!! Might I add that since I noticed Chris' look he gave me that night, I have grown a small crush on him. Ok that's a lie. I've had a crush on him since the beginning but I'm not holding it back anymore.

"You know what, I don't have time for this. I need to go practice for my test. See ya Chris." I got up and grabbed my bag.

"Cabela." Chris whined.

"No, no I got the message ok? Bye." I headed for the music building when I was swung around towards Chris. He pulled me close and for a split second our eyes met and then so did our lips. My eyes widened in shock. Holy crap! WHAT WAS GOING ON????

Obviously, I was being kissed but what spurred this on?

"I'm sorry." He pulled away quickly and backed away from me.

"Wait, Chris. What.....?" But he was gone. He was running away from me. Did I do something wrong? My eyes widened when I realized I didn't kiss back. I made it seem like I wasn't interested. Way to go Cabela!! See this is why you can't have nice things. You don't appreciate them while you have them.
