After a while, Queen Marline and King Jacob pulled up in their carriage coming back from their royal meeting. The royal family grab their bags, once the queen notices that the gates were open. She pulls the bag out of the carriage and shakes her head.
"King Jacob! I remind you every time! Leave the gates locked, I told you to tell the guards."
King Jacob turns and looks at the open gate doors confused. "Queen Marline I don't understand! I told them to lock up."
"Jacob, I'm sure you did." Queen Marline said not believing him whatsoever.
"And I did!" The King argued, "I'm sure of it! Where's Brian?"
The royal family look at the gate. There was no Brian. "Oh! Come on!" The queen complained. "Where is the guard?! Where is our luggage person?" Queen Marline was surprised, and a bit angry. What was going on?
"This is strange. Why is everything out of proportion?"
The queen grabs her bags begrudgingly, almost dropping them. The king rushes to her help. "I'm fine!" The queen persist, "Oh I surely hope that Jessica is alright." The king puts down his hands and went to open the gates. King Jacob opens the gates wider, that's when a piece of paper flew past him and hitting upon Queen Marline's face. "Oh!" The queen drops her bags dismayed and confused on what had just happened. Queen Marline takes the paper and reads the note.
You are confused right now I understand.
There's something you just don't know. Jess,
She's special, I can't explain it to you. All in all,
Jess is gone! I have her, she too special for you!
She has the powers I've always wanted. Who do
You think you are thinking you could keep all her
powers to yourself? Selfish! You definitely are! She's gone.
That's for the best.
~"The babysitter"
"Ohh!! Honey!" Queen Marline begins to tremble. She has sweaty palms, her gloves started irritating her. She quickly slips them off for some cool breeze. But still Queen Marline felted hurt, very hurt like the other half of her hurt was absolutely gone, no longer there just disappeared. She felt too hurt, too hurt for this much pain being received all at once, Queen Marline tries keeping consciousness but before she knew it she was out like a light.
King Jacob runs to Queen Marline to help her regain consciousness as she fainted into the Kings arms. With the note still in Queen Marline's hand, King Jacob reads it, crying on the top of the unconscious Queen Marline. King Jacobs hands were shaking as he was reading the note. Was this a dream? Would it all go away in a flash? He looked at himself realizing it wasn't a dream, the babysitter is gone and apparently so is Jess. King Jacob sobbed, "What...a..are..we going to do!?!" King Jacob sobbed louder and louder till the moment Brian had finally shown up.
